Anyone know of a site that has summaries of past episodes? This is my first time watching the show and I don't know what the fuck is going on.

The episode was action-packed, suspense-filled, the flashback ties into the episode nicely, and the ACTING was great. Especially Kate's breakdown when
Charlie appeared to be dead...some GREAT stuff from her. Plus she's hot.

However...on the final line.

"We're about to find out."

I almost screamed at my TV, "IN JANUARY, ASSHOLE!". ARGH!

If you want comedic ones, go to Television Without Pity. If you want something more serious, there are probably some Lost fansites.

Glad I wasn't the only one pissed off by that.

Other then that, damn good episode.

Big thumbs up on this ep. And yes, the cliffhanger ending was sadistic.

After the red shirt exchange(hilarious), I expected Charlie to stay dead. So, good build up to that.

I thought Charlie was done for... Glad he's around. He's as lovable as his Hobbit character. :lol

What the hell was that metal thing? I expected Ethan to come out with some major ownage.

First tragedy, then farce.
DAMN fine episode.

I guess the last two episodes owned all those people who thought Sayid's episode gave too much away.

I knew
that Charlie wouldn't die...that was so The Abyss :))

Anymore insight into the black kid's luck? I wonder what impact he's going to end up having.

Anywho, I can't wait for Alias! :D. Then when it's on at it's regular time, it'll be 2-hours of J.J. style mindfucks.

Good episode. I other threads people were saying that
someone would die. I guess that was charlie, or someone else going to die?

Dam kidnaper(i forgot his name(jeff, steve, kent?) :D ) someone has to kick his ass.

I think the flashes are starting to get boring.

She's
not mentioned as a regular in the cast credits. But then, neither am I. :lol

This is mere speculation.

Same here. At first I was sure he'd pull through - they always do! Then I remembered the red shirt comment, and thought that having a main character die would be valuable to having the audience take dangerous situations more seriously.

Of all the things to keep to yourself, dude...

I mean, people are spoiler tagging stuff from the episode that's already aired, let alone what happens in the future. Yes, people can notice that inadvertently themselves, but for those that don't... edit your post.

That seemed to be a hell of a lot more pronounced clue the polar bear/comic book thing.

I tells ya,
There is something about children and this island. His amazing luck and the abduction of Claire, combined with the fact that I'm convinced "Alex" was born on the island, leads me to believe there is some connection.

:lol Who was it that talked about the star trek red shirts back in the first or second Lost thread? Good call, and nice self parody there in the script.

I also subconsiously wanted Jack to say "The leaves of Lorian do not fall idly" when they found charlies finger tape.

As for Boone and Locke,
I couldn't help but wonder if it's a grave they've found. It sounded hollow when they tapped on it, I believe. Maybe Claire is buried or buried alive? Or it could be the grave of one of Danielle Rousseau's colleagues?

I think it's something bigger. Like a room. Maybe a series of rooms. Maybe there's a secret underground society! :O

Is Boone gay? There's been a rumor that at least one of the Lost is. I just read on E! that Boone has a "deep dark secret." That bit about his being in a division of wedding planning made me wonder. Gay wedding planner? Hmm. P.S. I'm kinda drunk right now

Speaking of this... what the hell did Jack and folks do with the bodies they found in the caves?

Damn I love this show.

Locke's episode is still the best one though. When you first see that
he was in a wheel chair (I shouldn't need a spoiler, but just in case)
...oh my god. And Terry O'Quinn's acting was out of this world in that scene. I was always pissed off that he was written out of Alias, glad to see Abrams gave him an even better part.

Actually the whole cast is awesome. And there's so much we still don't know. Some characters we've seen some background on but not a full story (Kate being the most obvious, but others too), and there are other major characters we hardly know anything about (Hurley, Boone, Shannon, Walt).

I feel like this programme is single handedly saving TV this year. Let's hope Alias and 24 (for those who like it, not me) can give it some back up soon.

Funny that both my favourite (Walkabout) and least favourite (Solitary) episodes have both been written by David Fury. Then again I shouldn't be surprised, I had a love hate relationship with him on Buffy and Angel too. Actually, that's not true, I never hated. I'm just never sure with him if I'm going to get something amazing or something average.

Good and bad news.

The good news is that the 11th episode was watched by a whopping 18.9 million people. That's a new high!

The bad news is that the new episodes will be starting later than we thought. Next week ABC re-airs the first two episodes (the whole pilot) and then the next episode each week and they're going to do the whole run again, so by my calculations, we'll get the 12th episode on February 25th, which also allows them to go straight through May sweeps without interruption of the new shows, which makes sense considering Alias won't be doing reruns either.

It's really all good news for the show itself, but those of us who don't need to catch up on it have to wait nearly three months for the next fix.

Fuck.

Well, I guess my significant other can get in on the show now. He refused to watch early on, but after hearing everyone talk about it at work, he's regretted it.

Fuck. 3 fucking months. I wonder if the numbers will drop, since they're losing a ton of momentum by waiting almost a fourth of a year to air the new ones.

Aaarghh! I'm also worried that viewers might lose interest or forget why they liked it so much in such a long gap.

God I hate the way you show TV shows America. I hope to god that Alias and 24 are massive successes with their one run, consistent showings.

Woooh!

I hope Alias is back on form so bad, it was just as good as Lost is in its first 2 seasons. I'm hoping for high ratings too, a Lost lead-in is awesome and the show really should both appeal to a large portion of the same audience as Lost.

Wait, a 2 hour Alias premiere? As in 2 hours on the night? or split over 2 weeks?

If the former: best night of TV ever.

On a positive note, the incorrect information Dan posted means I'm now going "Oh thank god, only 4 weeks until Lost returns" rather than "Oh man, 4 weeks till Lost? That sucks!" which I what I was thinking yesterday.

But it's also only four weeks until Alias! Double whammy! Woo!

What a week; Three hours of 24, Two hours of Alias, and the return of Lost.

I might try and get into 24 again this time. I wasn't going to as I've attempted to like it 3 times already and always got up to episode...oh around episode 7 I'd say of each season and given up. But I hear they're getting rid of a lot of the cast which have stuck for the last 3, so maybe I'll find something which appeals more.

I wouldn't bet on it. She's been uncredited before when not appearing in an episode. Just seems to be the way they do things on Lost.

I've been reading up on Lost a little bit and there's some interesting, non-spoiler stuff around. Like, originally, Jack was going to die in the pilot with Kate taking the lead. Also they only focused on Kate, Charlie and Jack's stories in the pilot by pulling names out of a hat. Oh and the Korean lady tried out for Kate's role, but she wasn't right so they created a Korean couple just because they were so impressed with her.

Speaking of which, what the hell happened to those two?

And did Jack win the Island Open or not?

So many questions left unanswered, DAMN YOU JJ ABRAMS!

Oh, you know, too many characters, not enough screen time. They're just off screen, probably having passionless sex, no doubt with their clothes on.

What do you think about Jack and Ethan's fight? Did it actually happen? kate told jack he just hit his head. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but after watching it again it looked fishy. Ethan was totally owning jack and it was like Ethan had super strength.

Think about this...

Two weeks ago when Claire was "having dreams" about being attacked no one believed her. Now jack has been attacked and kate doesn't believe him. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but maybe it only happened to jack and no one else could see it like with claire? Cuase it's very obvious someone was after her.

Also remember after jack's ownage, we hear a blood curddling scream from claire but kate doesn't hear it at all It's that scream that lead then to charlie. kind of like jacks dad leading him to locke and to a water source.

So much was brought from this episode. It was really top notch.

Yeah, I have to admit that I was totally fooled about
Charlie being dead
. Yeah, I was skeptical at first, but after reading that they were
going to kill off a main character, I started to wonder if it would be Charlie after all, and the acting actually had me worried. I still think Claire is going to bite it.

I don't know. Ethan told Jack that if they keep following he would kill one of them. They kept following and Ethan "killed" Charlie. This makes me think it did happened. But then again kate was right there and she didn't see anything.

Ghost

Chili Con Carnage!
It could be some kind of psychic thing, but jack did get the shit beaten out of him (his nose was bloody when he came round) Maybe jack and kate climbed higher than it seemed, so she wasn't 'right there'....still peculliar though.

As is the black kids thing, i dont think its something he gained since being on the island "My dad says im the luckiest kid in the world" suggests he was gifted in the real world. Maybe it suggests a deeper conspiracy (Like all these people were deliberately put on that plane).

Maybe that would explain why the 'others' want claires child so much, we found out in her episode that he was some key to evil or something like that, maybe the Others are the ones that arranged to have all these people brought to the island.
