If so, I think my speculation will be correct:
Rose and Bernard are not Adam & Eve -- two people from the time of Jacob are, one of them potentially being that younger woman.

She's also
pregnant -- perhaps with Jacob?

I do remember reading a while back that
Sayid was going to have a "visit" from either Shannon or Nadia. "Visit" seems more like an on island thing but I guess that means it's Shannon and in the X timeline, now that Sayid is dead and since we saw Nadia long ago.

I think they are making it TOO obvious that Jack is supposed to be Jakobs replacement. So it's probably not Jack. Isn't Kate's name the only name that was marked off who is not dead? My money is on Kate Austin being Jakobs replacement.

Or should I say ... Kate Awesome ... :D

Throwing it out there- I don't think it's any of them. All their names are listed by Jacob in order to deceive MIB from corrupting the real candidate.

Put me down as it being Aaron, Walt or Desmond- all three have been said to be special throughout the show. Aaron possibly explains MIB's interest in Claire, having it as Walt explains exactly why the Others kidnapped him (Jacob told them to) and Desmond, well, he's just...special, free from time and space.

That guy is Sawyer. He's even got the same grunt. If he isn't, then the writers got someone who intentionally looks like Sawyer to psych people like us out.

I don't buy it. Based on filming reports/overall gist of the last few episodes that I've read, there's no way.

Granted, beyond the call sheet I don't know any specific spoilers, but I'd be really, really fucking surprised if they went that direction. That seems more like a series finale final scene kind of reveal.

Well there are two different versions of each character now thanks to the timeline split so... yeah it's feasible that maybe something similar like that happened prior.

I'm just saying, if two of the same person can exist right now, then who is to say that they didn't exist a long time ago, and furthermore, are we sure that the characters introduced in season 1 are actually the "original" versions of themselves?

Well it seems to be the case. The EW blurb comment matches up with us thinking that it was Sawyer in the clip, and pretty much the only way that can be explained is that the season 1-introduced Oceanic 815 characters are not the original existing versions of themselves. It would also give more weight to their decision to introduce the flash-sideways timeline; it helps make something like this work within the context of the story.

And yeah, totally Xenogears :lol

Also, the lighthouse dial and the names on the cave wall... did Jacob or whatever really throw that lighthouse up just after the characters were born? They're what, in their 30's? Talking about people like Jack, Sawyer, etc. That lighthouse looked like some ancient shit, folks.
