Basically the most predictable thing they could do. They're already old. They're not relevant anymore. Their characters "retired" last season. They fit the timeline. Shit is too easy.
It would be a little disappointing if it WASN'T Rose and Bernard, IMO.
Since back in season 3, they said there was an anagram in the episode with Room 23 where it would shed light on who Adam and Eve are. The message was something to the effect of "Bones of Nadlers May Lay Lost In Cave" or something. Nadlers = Rose & Bernard.
So if it's not them, it makes me think they changed their minds on it.
And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.

Exactly. If adam and eve were two random new characters, just for the sake of throwing the audience a curveball, then we'd never hear the end of "That's bad storytelling!1!" How would that kind of arbitrary twist work toward satisfying the notion that they planned that element so early in the story? Isn't that the reason why Darlton said they added in adam and eve in the first place?
The identities of the skeletons doesn't have to be mind blowing. It would however serve the story better if the revelation were logical and meaningful. As far as we know, Rose and Bernard currently fit the bill, whether we like them or not.

They also confirmed via a later podcast that the anagram that they were talking about was Mitellos (the episode introduced Mitellos Bioscience) which is an anagram of 'Lost Time'.

There are 4-5 pages from the finale's script floating around that have been confirmed to be real. Something to be careful about when looking at "rumors."

I was watching an episode from season 5 last night, the one where Ben 'calls' the Smoke Monster...
I think I have a theory about all of the thoughts about how he works, and the security system...it's probably old, I just haven't read it. It's nothing special, either. Just a quick thought.
Since Smokey is just a man, and he is able to infiltrate anywhere with his shape shifting...I was thinking that perhaps he only judged Ben because Ben thought that it had to happen. MIB just went along with it to make Ben feel special, so he could further be manipulated.
The stories of him made him into what he portrays himself as.
So Ben goes to 'summon' him and he only comes because he knew he needed to be summoned, not because Ben pulled some poo plug.
Robyn from Pittsburgh: You're killing us with no Lost scoop this past week. No episode, no scoop. Throw us a small tease or something, anything, please!
I felt lost too. What will we do come June? OK, scoop you may or may not know:
This week's episode is most definitely a game changer, and there will be at least one major death. Quite honestly, I'm expecting to cry harder watching this episode than I ever have watching this show.
So bring out that industrial-sized Kleenex box, my friends. Also, we'll see the Man in Black's (Terry O'Quinn) true colors. And surprise, they aren't all rainbow-y. This episode and the episode that follows will most definitely have everyone talking.
Next Tuesday, episode 15, is the one with no series regulars that also guest stars Allison Janney, and it has a very cool Aha! moment that will make you realize show runners Damon and Carlton did know where they were going from the very beginning.
Can you believe the show is really all about alien polar bear ninjas? I know! Me neither! (Tee hee.)
Randall in New York: I hate to ask, but is there anything good coming up for Kate and Sawyer? I hate to ask 'cause I fear the answer.
I don't know much, but I do know they'll end up back in those cages. But not with the same boom-chicka-bow-wow outcome you may be hoping for. Sorry. Honestly, there's so much going on as far as life-and-death shockers and the mythology of the series that from what I know, there isn't a whole lot of relationship focus in the next couple of episodes.
That said, you will see Kate show some emotion this week.
of all the characters that are alive right now, i doubt anyone that could possibly die in that episode will invoke a emotional reaction from me. The ones that would, probably won't die in that episode.
:lol
But anyway, episode sounds so awesome. I can't wait. I am really interested in the moment that proves
. I've been spoiled on it unfortunately, but it's going to be great and I wish I didn't have to work tonight so I could see how everyone reacts to it. :lol Oh well, I'll catch up to you guys later tonight.

Reading your guys' posts without highlighting is pretty damn exhilarating. :lol I think I'll stop now though before someone, I got my fill. HYPE overflowing!

Wish I could watch tonight, but I'm going out to celebrate my 21st. ABC puts the episodes up the next morning, right?

I can't bring myself to highlight anything either. So close. So motherfucking close.
I'm going to go ahead and predict that these final 4 episodes will be one of the all-time LOST runs in the history of the series. Unrelenting epicness until that final thud to LOST.

I agree. I'm hoping it rivals/surpasses the final S3 onslaught.
If LOST can stick a landing of that magnitude, I think a lot of the earlier season 6 bitterness will end up getting washed away. I know, that's a big "if", but I got Jack-sized faith right now. I'm ready to be blown away one last time.
Somewhat of an inference from the interview with Lindelcuse about "The Candidate" and this week's Lost Untangled:
Neither the interview nor the recap says shit about Lapidus dying, only discussing the three unquestionable deaths of Sayid, Jin, and Sun. If they really killed Frank, they would have made it clear that he had died.
I still think the finale is going to end with the plane taking off and Jack willingly staying behind.
And now people are wondering if Widmore is dead? I don't think there's any chance of that being the case. Again, too important for an off-screen death, and there needs to be some chain of events for him Desmond to learn what sacrifice he has to make.
