Isn't there something along the lines of "Never reveal your role unless necessary" in the strategy guide? I feel like there was not enough reason to reveal your role, to be quite honest.

also im lazy so i'll post additional reads tomorrow, unless right now there's a boat in particular people want my thoughts on.

on the topic of whether to end this game earlier, i'm okay if it ends 24 hours earlier. at that point i'm sure everyone had the opportunity to give their thoughts.

When you think someone is a scum Tracker, and get confirmation that they tracked you, it's possible that Mafia already had us lined up for a N2 kill. Blawl could have sat through the entirety of today "protecting" our names and looking really responsible and Townish.

Considering the lack of a death last night, and considering that a Tracker wouldn't necessarily know what role targeted them, I think a Town-sided Blawl would have taken a more inquisitive approach. As it stood, they seemed content in sitting on the info.

Kark's patience in responding to all of these little inquiries is commendable... just giving a shout out to that. Honestly if I'm Kark I'm ccing blarg/kawl day 1 and just letting myself get lynched if town doesn't believe me.

It's weirder too if blarg is the doctor because that means that he knows he saved Kark and he is still trying to get Kark lynched.

No explanation other than blarg/kawl being mafia makes sense.

If Blarg and Kawl are scum, why would they claim on D1? I'm leaning towards there not being a cop at all, so what was the point of false claiming Miller when the presence of an alignment cop was wholly uncertain? Was my claim somehow the impetus for theirs? I can't comprehend why mafia would put themselves out there like that if not for that.

Outside of this Blawl/Karkhead thing, the other areas of interest that I have that I hope to get to on day 3 are LaunchpadMcQ and Camjo. It may sound like I'm harping on it, but the way he got really defensive and his entire tone changed when he got some mild pressure. With Camjo, I found it really suspicious that he was trying to get power roles to claim so early, as they would seem to be playing into the Mafia's hands.

As for FluxTime, I believe they are likely town because I don't see a scum team deciding to do such a risky move.

If Blarg's upcoming post doesn't change anything, we might as well get the day ended because we won't be getting much info when we can't effectively threaten anyone with the possibility of getting lynched today.

I'll be the first to admit, I did not think that one through completely. I was arguing that doc could protect cop from getting killed, but it dawned on me afterwards that it doesn't really matter when a potential maf roleblocker could just stop the cop from getting reports. I'm too used to games where a cop can out early and then lead with whispered claims even if they get reports blocked by a hooker, but of course this game doesn't have whispers so that strategy's right out the window.

I appreciate the suspicion though. Maf would be fools to kill me tonight with all these people pointing fingers at me! Fools, I say!

You aren't pushing for a Flux lynch because a Blarg lynch is already a certainty. I'm questioning you because I don't understand your position, and I'm not entirely convinced that you do either.

This response isn't helping. First paragraph repeats the point I already dismissed (although if someone could link where Flux claimed to be trying to be lynched I'd appreciate it), and the second paragraph is defensive and already trying to soften your position.

Pro tip: stick to your guns or have a damn good reason for reversing.

I guess I'll go back and read it again, but I know that I for one was already suspicious of NeverTim's low-key presence.

Also kind of playing devil's advocate here, but I think that's the weakest point against Camjo. It looks to me like playing in a different meta, and his explanation already given (whispers, follow the cop etc) makes sense to me.

No game of mafia is balanced if the cop can out on Day 2 and scum is immediatly fucked. Where are you getting at? He's trying to hide in some obscure tactics no one of us could verify they exist, fuck that shit. He was fishing for PRs who easily fall for his call and now he's weaseling himself out of this with bullshit explanations ("I didn't think right, duuuh'")

Beyond thinking that he's town, I'm not particularly trying to defend Flux. I'm more examining the argument made by Cam and explaining why I think it's a bad argument.

"Whispers" sounds like Town of Salem, and while I haven't played enough to know if that's a done thing over there, it sounds possible. Most games of ToS I played weren't exactly "balanced" either.

But like I said, devil's advocate. I think Cam is scum just not for the reason you are suggesting.
