Well, updating was a pain, but at least it's done.
So I took a look at the new daily challenges, and saw the one about scouting a few regulars. "Okay, might as well," I thought. And when that was done, the one about doing an honor scouting shows up. "Eh, sure, I've got a scouting ticket I can spare," I thought.
Two Ultra Rares in one month?! Friends, I apologize, I am clearly sucking up all the good luck around here.
Which gets drawn from first, the overflow or the stuff that charges up over time?

If I ran the numbers correctly, somewhere around 1230 for you, I think. The refund EXP should be enough to bump you up 8 levels.

I remember before I stopped playing last time I thought I'd yolo 5 gem draws. I got a UR Maki so I finally got what I want. So currently I've been doing reg scout and feeding it normals. Though I've got a ton of new normals I didn't get before so they're all clogging up my storage.

I wish they'd went ahead and implemented the new dailies instead of using the old ones :/ now we gotta play 6 songs instead of just 1 to get the gem.
Edit: I've been reserving all my Aqours preview links to the LINE chat, but this is so good that I had to share it here. Guilty Kiss's preview is SO GOOD. Haven't stopped listening to it since it came out and my god. Maybe it's just cuz it matches almost exactly the type of music I love but DAMN, they sing so well. Definitely gonna preorder their CD
Edit: I've been reserving all my Aqours preview links to the LINE chat, but this is so good that I had to share it here. Guilty Kiss's preview is SO GOOD. Haven't stopped listening to it since it came out and my god. Maybe it's just cuz it matches almost exactly the type of music I love but DAMN, they sing so well. Definitely gonna preorder their CD

Daisuki just announced they're sponsoring a massive set of concerts/events at Anime Expo, featuring bands like FLOW, Sphere, and JAM Project (among others), and they're also having two anime-related events: one for One Punch Man, and the other for Love Live Sunshine. The VAs of Chika, Riko, Kanan, Dia, Maru, and Ruby will be showing up (making AZALEA the only subunit in full attendance, for what it's worth) for what the site currently only describes as a "special talk session & screening", so probably not a mini-live but a prescreening of the first anime episode instead.
Wonder if this means Sunshine will be simulcast through Daisuki...

I think I was maybe few weeks early on my trip to Japan. I guess the arcade game is currently testing in cities that aren't Tokyo, but it sounds like it'll be out soonish? Would have liked to try it while I was over there.
And I finally got home today. Haven't played since the end of the last event. I'm about 3k XP from leveling up again, so hopefully I'll be able to level as soon as the next event starts.

I assume they messed with the experience required to rank again. And since it keeps adding LP when you level up instead of just discarding it, you're getting a lot of free plays. lol
Ah yeah, they finally halved the experience needed to get to 100.
There's a solution to that problem! =p

I mean, I took a break for a few minutes after every second or third set to rest my eyes, but otherwise... yeah? That 1400 overflow LP isn't going to play itself, and every hour it sits there is another hour of normal LP that's not being generated, so might as well get it out of the way ASAP. Went to bed a couple hours earlier than usual and set my alarm for a couple hours earlier than usual. Not like I was seriously taking time away from anything else important.
Kinda wish the event was for a card that I actually really wanted, though.
Oh yeah, I would never have rushed if it wasn't for the LP overflow. Don't know how some people do it every event... then again, I never was able to understand the mind of a whale anyway.
even more so, they do this for double digit hours... at least, some have on occasions, even if it was for donations streaming

Just wanted to say thanks to m0t0k1. I'm almost rank 100 in Photos on Stage.
Wow going in hard on that aikatsu lol. I just play it casually like all other rhythm games. I wish i could give you my Aoi PR since i have it double and can only use one in the team. Or can you use it to idolize or something?

Finally some nice changes. I can idolize my UR feels so good. But it will probably take forever to do it. All in all good news also some more challenge for people who want it.

So they gave people a way to idolize cards without getting 2 of them, which is nice. Hopefully those "seals" are at least obtainable in some way.
Edit - oh it's the same seals that you use now? I almost regret buying all those Aquors and Arise cards. Oh well.
That said, why have SSRs? It just seems like an extra pointless tier - well, other than the fact that SRs are completely worthless now because everyone has teams full of them I suppose.

One guess I've seen (Hello Line!) is they may rename promo URs to SSRs to distinguish that they are not as good as legit ones. Though that would mean we'd also need another one to distinguish SRs from promo SRs.
Well the UR are comparable with the R levels. Maybe to just give an exclusive feature. Feels better to get an UR then SSR. There where also SR promos in magazines. So its not like they are giving a lower rating just for that. Maybe i finally gonna get better then SR out of the despair finally
Let me see if I've got all this straight from the top down:
- JP 4.0 update is coming at the start of July
- UI changes to menu and card design
- Aqours properly integrated as a separate "mode" for story, scouting, and song selection
- new µ's cards will still be added twice a month as before, with new Aqours cards filling in the gaps between them
- events will alternate between µ's/Aqours, with 2 new SRs per event (still unsure of that last part)
- new song updates also will alternate (aren't they almost out of µ's songs though?)
- Expert is now always selectable for all regular songs, Master is the new time-limited difficulty (wonder where it falls in relation to the current EX Super Hard charts)
- SR/UR can now be idolized with seals/stickers instead of needing an extra copy (hello Starlight Stage mechanics)
- new SSR card rarity (...why?)
As for School Idol Skills, I'm seeing a different translation of the mechanic from http://decaf.kouhi.me/lovelive/ compared to what the LL Wikia twitter said:
- SI Skills are a new per-card attribute that can be used to boost stats and regular skills
- The higher the rarity of the card, the higher the max # of SI Skills you can set to it
- You can increase the number of SI Skill slots through Special Practice
The confusion was probably from how to read the 部員にセットすることで部員のステータスや特技を強化できる line; if anyone can help translate it that would clear things up.

You idolize similar to the new Love Live system. (Tokens) Use your extra PR to level her skill.
My luck with these games is so bad. After around seven draws I still have no PR. T_T

I do indeed. I had to burn through it all before sleep, lest I waste stamina recharging while I slept. I did it though, but man...that was tiring. :/

Is this game still really event heavy in order to get exclusive idols? That was the hardest thing about this game - babysitting the events to get decent ranks for exclusive stuff.
it hasn't really changed but the events never required ranking to "do well" anyways. you just play the events enough to get the card, which is usually much lower than the Tier 2 cutoffs (1/2~2/3). unidolized is enough to get by for S Ranking most EX Songs as well so Tier 2 is not a necessity. other rewards from ranking in Events are just G and FP and Gems as always, which you can get a ton of from everywhere
better now, if you just do the daily Goals, you can also get Gems easily enough to do the 50 Gem pulls much more often than in the past
So the #1 ranked player on the English Nico event has a score of 1,600,000. I know, everyone had the whole stamina overflow thing from leveling up, that that still seems excessive. I'm player rank 231, used all of the stamina overflow from leveling up, and a handful of gems, and I'm still only at 87k+. Clear sign that he/she's a hacker, or just has more money/gems than they know what to do with? Even if they did, where the hell would they find the time?
Speaking of, does Klab even do anything about hackers? I haven't checked the before/after rankings for events, so I'm not entirely sure.

1,600,000 ~= 1,600 plays ~= 11,200 minutes ~= 186 hours 40 minutes out of 239 hours. basically 52 hours of free time in the 10 day period Lol
you can "track" their progress on the googledoc. I doubt it's hacking. possibly rotation with another person or persons. but iono. if it's ~7 minutes per 3EX, iono how they're getting >3k in a 15 minute period either (if the segment before and after are still 2k, then this shouldn't be possible I think?). I do remember there have been hackers before with the song scores. those did get removed iirc?
Man, the dedication for the Nico. That's a lot of hours spent on this event, assuming everything is legit. Even split between players/users, that's a lot of work (and gems used).
I wonder what the cut-off for 5k will be. It's at 88k now and I'm at 92k. I'm keeping a close eye on it and will use more gems if I think I'm in danger. I knew this event would be high (due to the stamina thing), so I can't say I'm surprised.
Even if there were people hacking something -- and with the frequency with which the game keeps checking back with the main server I'd like to know how -- it's not going to affect anything except those very very very top spots, so thankfully I don't need to give a shit.

Actually I had a post almost finished with lots of math using the event points calculator, tallying loveca/gold counts, but then somebody strolled in with a "1000 event points and 7 minutes per medley" quick and dirty average estimate rendering all my work pointless
