I had 2 glitches so far that had me restart a mission :S . I'm currently in C-2.

Once I got stuck in a floor while using the balloon in the second mansion and in C-1 a key fell through a wall/disappeared before I could grab it (the one in the clock mechanism room).

The second boss was kinda boring compared to the first. Still enjoying it a lot, though.

Yeah. Someone said that Lexar 600x is a pretty good SD card. Same as SanDisk. (That's what I'm using now)

Suck up its tongue to the max power level and press A to send it bouncing everywhere. Its health will go down as this happens. Once its health gets to zero, it'll become dizzy - allowing you to suck it up.

I'll just keep on doing this until its health reaches 0? I already like 3-4 times so sucking him up but it really stays at 3. It's that normal? I don't even remember that I needed to fight him this long when I first fought him

haha jeez what a cluster fuck and me being dumb just now

3rd mansion , mission before the boss
escorting toad to get the final piece and i had no idea i had to throw him after the huge gear, i thought i had to hold him by the hand and swing across the floor.
and to top it off, i almost died by the ghosts after toad is thrown


this game is kicking my ass, its good B^)

That kind of sounds like a glitch to be honest.

That actually happened to me, too! It was the first time I encountered a Boo... really had no idea what to do, so I just kinda... kept doing what I had been doing lol. Eventually his "3" whittled down to a zero, though. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong initially or whether it was just some random, brief period "glitch" that corrected itself. Very strange.


EDIT: And to whomever said Luigi's Mansion feels like a Rare game--you are ab-so-lutely right! It totally does feel like something Rare of the '64 days would have done. I'm really, really enjoying this excellent title :D

Could someone give me a hint for gems #9 and #12 on Old Clockworks? Just which room they are in would help, I don't want to know specific instructions on finding them.

I started the second mansion yesterday, but I want to go back to the first and get all the gems. What's the best way to tackle finding them? Can you only get certain gems on certain levels?

This game really makes me feel dumb sometimes. For some reason, my inability to see the obvious right in front of me makes me go backtracking all over the mansion. Granted, I do find a lot of gems and stuff that way, but it's pretty sad when I end up 1-starring missions. Oh well...

There are room restrictions based on missions I believe, but aside from that, I believe there's only one that has to be found on a specific mission. If you want to know, it's

For such a long dev time, this game seems kinda messy, I've had money, Boos and a key get glitched inside walls. Still GOTY so far, not that I've played that many.

Well, this game and Infinite. I'm playing the two of them side by side -- and tomorrow (erm, today) I add HarmoKnight to the mix.

Luigi's Mansion 2, BioShock Infinite and HarmoKnight -- BEST GAMING WEEK EVER.

Which gem can you only get on that mission? I just
tried going into the level that opens up when you collect all the boos so I could see if I had acces to the entire mansion at once and found the Teardrop gem for the first time. I can see how some gems can be mission specific if an area hasn't been opened up earlier but at that point I imagine the whole mansion is open to walk through…

Edit: Crazy, I just found all the gems in the first mansion!
I used the Time Trial level that opens when you collect all the boo's to get the Teardrop and the Rectangle one :)

I got all 13 gems in Haunted Towers, averaging several per mission. I had all of the gems and all of the Boos in that mansion by the time I reached the boss.

There are still two missing gems in Gloomy Manor, though. It's driving me a bit crazy, but I refuse to ask for help!

(...for now)

Also, I'm hella determined to fill out my Vault bestiary, but GODDAMN, the ScareScraper one has like a billion slots, and after several rounds I've only added the Poltergeist. o_O

I could be wrong then. I was talking about the
one where you launch the suit of armor's head at the portrait

I am fairly sure that there's one or two in the second mansion that can only be gotten on
B-4
just because I did attempt to find those on different missions and couldn't get them.

That gem is the
teardrop. I got that just now in the extra boo level ;-) It seems you can access the entire mansion in that mission. Though I didn't try to go down to the cellar.

Copy came in today on time. It's great so far, as I expected though I've been spending much more time with MonHun :( need to give this a good play tonight. I love it when Luigi starts humming to the music, such a small detail.
