To me that picture is the definition of desperation...Desperation to stay relevant, desperation to stay youthful.

Being 64 and looking like a bimbo doll with plastic surgery all over is a sign of someone having huge issues with themselves...and If you're 64 and still haven't resolved them well you're a lost cause.

Nuanced how? She asked him why he did't want to fuck her. Had partner, he litteraly says it. Watch again.

Niles is a legend in the industry, he has no need to lie. Would fuck his carrier up.

Did Madonna sue him? Nope.

Shit, she was famous for it when I was a young kid. I'm in my forties now. Sleeping around with famous people for clout. It's common knowelge and very well documented. You'd have to be living under a rock to have missed the reports.
Never been a scandal about him. Her, well ... there's always Google. She has been well documented fucking people she worked with. That's on her. Not to say it's bad but it was hardly a good look. He just said no, no big deal.

This Niles person seemed very genuine and so I have no reason to doubt his recalling from the event mentioned.

Although the way he told how the interaction went didn't gave me the same vibe as I was expecting reading your initial post hence my nuance remark. That's all.

It was frustrating to watch because of the Huffington Post dude pushing and interrupting Niles to get his juicy bit. Not even apologizing to Niles of the shitty way they purposefully left out, as Niles mentioned on the spot, the two paragraphs leading up to his quote.

In regards to living under a rock..

Honestly...this is one of the most photographed women in history and the most successful woman from an industry that relies on "looking good".

I tend to see these things with a little bit of empathy.

Also let's not forget she reached her 50's with barely anything done, which not a lot of people do in any industry whatsoever. Considering all the criticisms she had to go through in her career i'd say i'm sill fascinated how she's still alive. This is how the media treated Madonna in the early 90s, when she was like 34:

And saying she looks good only due to plastic surgery is to be overtly cynical about this. She has always worked out her entire life.

Obviously once she hit menopause it probably changed her forever, that happens to some women, who knows...but i don't think judging a 64 year old woman for looking like this is fair.

Just my two cents.

She was still making good music back then. Have you heard her last few albums? Probably not and I wish I hadn't.
Her most recent one had some good music. Her 2012 album was the worst ever though.

And yes 90s Madonna is the best Madonna.

What I wouldn’t give to be old enough in 1992 when she released that SEX book and the Erotica album or Ray of Light later in the 90s. Still the best female pop album ever.

I honestly don’t get how she went from that woman who was turning 40 to this 64 year old woman. How do you “de-evolve” like this? Whatever happened on that Guy Ritchie marriage was the beginning of the end for her tbh.

Indeed most of what she has done since then was uninspired. This song's lyrics probably explains how she felt and is one of the last half-decent tracks she released.

Also this one from the year they got divorced said it all:

Yours is basically a post-divorce song. Mine is the "trouble in paradise" one.

I really didn't care for Madame X at all but Rebel Heart had this song which is amazing...

The problem with Rebel Heart was the huge leak. EVERY song leaked in 5 different version, Madonna rushed to the studio to create different versions close to release and all songs turned out worse, lmao.

That said, it did give us this masterpiece. Ironically the only song that didn't leak:

See... and she looked great in that video. Not a fan of ballads but I loved the style of it.. definitely one of her best videos.
Nowadays.. I just don't understand why she felt the need to get so much plastic surgery.

Remember when she released that video around when covid hit hard about how it's the "great equalizer" whilst bathing in her giant tub with rose petals in it? Yeah... She can piss off into retirement.

I feel bad for her trying so hard to stay in the public eye. Instead on focusing on her music, helping in trying to start a new generation on what she already built on.. she instead wants the attention and praise.

She didn't do this for the career or money but for the attention and glory.

That woman makes me think she's narcissistic as hell.

Honestly she doesn't look that bad in the OP's pic, but she doesn't really look like herself anymore either. If you showed me that pic and told me it was a 40 year old amateur pornstar on pornhub or something I wouldn't really think twice. But knowing that it's Madonna makes you realize that she looks more like a poorly made facsimile of her younger self, so I guess I can see why it seems creepy.

It's simply another case study into the psychology of "stars" that can't let go and desperately hold on to that which were main aspects that were on the forefront and personal part of their succes/prime.

She has the means (money) to therefore, by way of plastic surgery, emulate a facet that was part of that prime within the context of our current zeitgeist ie full lips fake boobies, ass and what not.

It's a sad sight when seen in these extreme forms.

The cognitive dissonance required to show, in essence, your insecurities off for the entire world to see as if it's something to be proud of isn't something to be taken lightly when we take a couple steps back and see this kind of coping in perspective.

With that said you do you and I'll still smash.

If you asked me in 1995 what star today is going to age horribly, refuse to accept reality, and make a fool out of themselves as they got older, I probably would have guessed Madonna. There is just no way any of this was going to end well. We are reaching Bogdanoff levels here. I feel bad for her. She needs to rediscover Jesus.
