For a decades-long dead guy, Urza sure gets a lot of play around these parts.
RIP in peace dead buddy. Hope you stay that way.
Death means nothing to Urza. He's green, so he can probably regenerate.

Well, that last part is exactly why it would be a good silver-bordered gag, heh.
That's.. surprisingly solid.
You got that one creature out? Exile it.
No creatures? Lemme see whatcha got.
Good card.
You'll never use the first part unlessYour opponent getting to choose which creature they exile kills this for me.
My only question who in the fuck is drafting mono white in cube much less three straight dudes
it does do double duty against torrential Gearhulk decksIt's a good card and feels slightly less efficient compared to the Blue card of the cycle, since Mana Leak and Impulse are both modes that will be used a bunch. This feels more like an edict stapled onto a discard spell.
I mean it is a decent edict for one more that has thoughtseize stapled to it. It's definitely a solid card but 3mana cards just feel really crowded.
Either Kefnet is going to be a massive jobber that never really does anything or he will secretly be a super all star cause he has had significantly less screen(?) time of the five gods.
True, but thos le decks don't feel like they're in a great spot right now in general. Anyway, that was the TLP preview and they have a podcast discussing the card online: http://www.toplevelpodcast.com/doomfall/

Swords to Plowshares.I don't get the flavor of Farm.
Struggle // Survive is a weird combination of effects.
I guess it's a play on Bolas farming humans but then it's a regular embalm mummy doing the killing.I don't get the flavor of Farm.

I get that the premise of split cards leads to goofy names.
But the idea of a card just named "Farm" is hilarious.

"Farm" as a verb
Reasonable ones, no. For all that people bitch about Jace with misused terms like "Mary Sue," Urza is actually a ludicrously overpowered, self-insert-y type character who's written as always being right about everything despite constantly doing awful shit and who warped the entire game's storyline around himself for years.
Torment of Hailfire seems surprisingly strong.
Written as always being right? Depends on the book. He fucked up big in the Brother's War and Planeswalker.Reasonable ones, no. If you run into someone on MTGO playing really bad Grixis or U/B control decks trying to play Hailfire for 8 or Nicol Bolas, say hi.
It's a little better than Killing Wave because it's one sided. It's significantly worse at lower numbers though. I feel like you want X to be at least 4. It's definitely going to en a lot of games in limited.Looks like a worse Killing Wave to me, but it's still a total blowout card in draft, for sure. Drop 7 mana or so on it watch your enemy squirm. Gonna suck no matter what they choose.
On the flip side, gonna suck to see it in your starting hand. Or against someone that has a ton of bug tokens or whatever to eat up most of the damage.

This annoys me to no end.
What? The elongated hyphen?

Oh wow I missed the discard a card clause. It blends into the reminder text. I bet that screws up a lot of Limited games
Calling Urza out as 'ludicrously overpowered' is kinda ignoring that all the oldwalkers were ludicrously overpowered.
Whether or not it should happen is arguable.
