Malicious is a new PSN (Japan only for now) title by Alvion.

The game is an action title that's almost composed of boss fights only.

You can choose between a male main character or a female main character.

Player is a character summoned by prophet to the game world to conquer "Malicious" by request.

SPECIAL ABILITIES FROM BOSSES
1.Wing, Press L3 when moving, a wing comes out and you move faster, if you jump while in this form you will go into a semi "flying" form.

Well I just got my ass kicked, so I dunno. I might have picked a bad boss to start with, it is sorta like MegaMan.

To change the camera, go to settings, and then the second last option. Then keep pressing accept until both up/down and left/right change to Reverse (リバー&#12473.

That should help a lot.

Yeah aside from camera being annoying controls seem responsive.

Change the camera directions to all reverse. That should help.

L1 = Aura
R1 = Enemy Focus (Where the camera is centered)

R3 = recenter camera

You're forgeting aura actions, a major part of the game.

L1 uses aura that you gain from regular enemies you kill normally.

Aura + O heals destroyed body parts.
Aura + X is an AoE attack to get enemies off you.
Aura + [] or /\ are your boss killing attacks.

Somehow got three trophies (kill without guarding, kill only the power holder, kill a power holder)

L3 cuts your jump short if you are in the air.

I beat that one, but I had to continue once. He kept rushing the hell out of me.

This will teach me to check Trophies and achievements more often.

Beat the Foughten Fields boss. Had to continue only because I actually was 1 tick away from killing it, and ran out of time (only ran out of time because I fucked around most of the level and didn't even realize the boss had a time limit)

I think they said it was up to SCEA last time I chatted with them. They had no plans at this time though.

No plans, but it's nice that they've included them. That said, I've played JP games that have had a release in the states, but the JP version always listed their trophies in Japanese, even after NA release (Project Sylpheed for instance)

Yay beat my first power holder in the library. I think I'm getting the hang of the controls now. How does the AOE attack work though, I was charging for a bit and saw the "release" prompt come up, but nothing came out of it when I released the buttons. Help?

and to answer your question about charge
L1 and X, the longer you hold the more powerful the charge release is, which will proportionally use up your aura and increase your ability

Good looking out. This game is really fun once you get the hang of it. And yes! Hyakuretsuken fist of the north star status!

Yeah, the lance you get from the dog thing certainly makes things easier. I just beat the knight boss from the flying stage, I got a Wings now apparently.

The dive kick from the lance is too good, INAZUMA KICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lol
