it will be the 'Bob the Goon' figure of this era.

No kid will ask for it, but every kid will get it.

I remember getting this son of a bitch instead of Batman for my birthday. Instead of Batman! Christ, my parents must have hated me.

send them to the worst nursing home possible

I had Bob as a kid. I remember burying him in the dirt until just his hat was showing; I then ran inside to use the bathroom and when I came back out, I lifted up his hat and started digging...

Bob was gone, he vanished. Never did find him.

taken by the earth.

Thanks to you, Cthulhu received the same shitty action figure the rest of us got.

Suit looks a cheap knockoff even more when actually merchandised.

Maybe... not. That suit looks amazing compared to the Supes in his disgusting evil Returns suit and it's toys.

Funko toy is odd though since it's got silver on it. Someone forgot to paint the rest of it.

Give me this any day of the week over what I posted...

Hottoys are also doing MoS figures. You can see a sneak peek at the Superman sculpt on their Facebook page. They are doing Superman, Zod (I believe they are also doing the battleshit mech thingy) and Jor-El for the first wave.

I bought the Chris Reeve Superman figure for my birthday last year... It's amazing. I need to pick up an Iron Man and Batman when I have the spare cash.

Yep I own it as well and plan on getting the Cavill one.

It's beautiful...

I agree.

We all keep saying we finally have a man playing Supes, but we also finally have a woman playing Lois again on screen (not counting tv). Bosworth besides being awful portraying her, I swear she looked like a 17 year old girl dressing up on Halloween trying to be an adult.

I mean obviously she's attractive and that's why I had no issues with her being cast till I saw her act the part, but she de-aged more than Supes in Returns. SMH she looks so damn young.

Also her hairline is worse than Cavill's :P

Still better than the Returns figures, but looking up the Mattel Movie Masters line they did a much better job on the Dark Knight figures :\

They gave Cavill some Tom Welling lips lol

Woah I didn't realise she had heterochromia, this bit in Superman returns always sticks out to me, http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=9-DOuX-Pi6o#t=46s

dat no ass

Yea, her eyes being like that are not as easy to see *no pun intended* in the film. As for the no ass haha well that was always easy to tell. She's paper thin from head to toe. Also it's amazing that you put in a simple bing search of her name and you get pics of her topless on a beach with a friend.

edit- I guess that's what happens when you have safe search off haha oops :P

I was wondering why that Amy Adams look felt so similar to Lois on Smallville. It's basically the same top, just unbuttoned. Snyder's one nod to Smallville :P

Adams has the "no-nonsense" Lois Lane reporter look down.

Thank you! I knew there was something I really liked about that picture. It all makes sense now.

There's a believability to Amy Adams that I really like. While I think she's beautiful, she's not absurdly good-looking. She looks like someone you would see working in the real world, Durance looks like a model.

Cavill on the other hand is other-worldly good-looking, which I think is appropriate for Superman.

While Amy well do a good job as Lois Lane, gotta say she does not have right look for Lois. She looks like Lana Lang (comics version) Supe's first girlfriend and was a red head.

Lois has had red hair in the comics off and on and the first actress to play Lois was a red head. Yea Lana Lang was the red head, but that too changed on Smallville along with the fact Kristin Kreuk playing Lana is Chinese.

Why didnt Lana and Clark remain together in the comics? Despite the legacy, I felt Lana was his true love in Smallville, not Lois.

It's easier to just read about her history

Well that was the fault of the Smallville writers/producers, I mean a lot was changed around on that show. I'm still not sure to this day if Lois would have ever shown up if the original producers never left.

Looks like Mattel aren't the only ones making figures, WB just released their press release for Toy Fair next week announcing all the other licensees including NECA who are producing an 18" figure of Superman along with possibly an Adam West Batman too:
http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/...3-warner-brothers-2013-toy-fair-press-release
In anticipation of Man of Steel, global master toy licensee Mattel unveils its wide ranging toy line including action figures, vehicles, playsets and collectible figures, highlighted by the fan-favorite and much-anticipated Movie Masters™ line, which captures the superior accuracy and details of the film’s characters. Mattel will also introduce Man of Steel QuickShots™, a new way to play with Superman with elements of flight and strength incorporated into the toy. Also supporting Man of Steel are global licensees such as LEGO, with exciting construction sets inspired by memorable scenes from the film; and Rubie’s Costume Co. with a new line of Man of Steel-inspired costumes and accessories for both kid and adult fans.

Additional partners bringing the Man of Steel product offerings to life will include Thinkway Toys, with a full role-play line, RC vehicle and interactive figure and other engaging toys; Jakks Pacific, with a range of Man of Steel and Superman collectible figures and novelty toys; as well as Cardinal Industries’ with games and puzzles based on Man of Steel and Superman, among many other licensees. Enthusiasts also won’t want to miss statues from Sideshow Collectibles; authentic prop replicas from Noble Collection; an 18-inch articulated figure from NECA; fun, stylized plush and vinyl figures from Funko; and high-end creations from Kotobukiya and SquareEnix, to name a few.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere as it's not exactly new or anything, but I caught this awesome WIP rendering of a more cartoony Superman with the new Man of Steel suit done by Rene Cordova.

I absolutely love it.

That just makes me want a new Superman animated series, which we won't get because of DC's perpetual Bat-Boner :(

edit - Not that I blame them necessarily, Batman is not only their most popular character outside of Superman, he's easily the most "merchandise-able" what with all his gadgets, vehicles and such.
