And then comes the problem about how the Soul Society is filled with people from Japanese only, hahaha. What happens if a French guy died, for example? Or an Italian guy? Does Soul Society has "branches"?
I doubt Kubo ever thought that far, and these are just silly questions, I know, but it's interesting regardless to know if he ever addressed this.

Out of all the big three I always personally feel that Bleach's universe is the one that filled with "holes" the most in terms of logic... I guess this can't be avoided seeing how Ichigo and friends are actually living in the "real" world unlike Naruto or One Piece.
Also I also like how people who have "died" as proven they have become a Shinigami such as Ichigo's dad can just live again in the world no problem--even gotten married and having children!
Shit. I forgot about this. But I could've sworn that it was said that there's a reincarnation balance somewhere early on too...

That was a little shorter than I would have liked, but still an excellent story. Wish it were easier to find more series like this.

I loved Nodame, so this didn't disappoint. One horrible place for the scanlators to stop for 3 years though, what with the cliffhanger and all. Too bad this will probably never be finished.
Always appreciate the GAF manga recommendations.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no majo has a kiss in the first chapter and the entire plot device seems to revolve around it. So there's another shounen like that for you :x

Also, it's incredibly perplexing how technically "dead" people like Urahara or Isshin can hang around in the real world like nobody's business... hell, one of them even mated with a living human and became a father of three.
Not to mention so many are shipping IchigoxRukia out there, while Rukia is technically a dead person already....
Bleach is one of the finest example of necrophiliac manga around, hahaha.

When shinigami are in Soul Society they are in their soul form. They get gigai (faux bodies) when they go to the human world, like Rukia did in the beginning of the manga. When shinigami fight they revert back to their soul form.

You can assume that it takes place in the "real world," but it was never stated to be Japan (or Earth). There was no mention of country; only suggestions (Chad's backstory, for instance).
And Ichigo's dad, Urahara and Yoruichi are using gigais. The latter two were exiled. The former we don't know about yet.

Hmm, I didn't remember any mention Isshin is using gigai. Still, it's still technically "dead" people roaming around in the world of living and even making families though. How convenient.
Yeah, he was using the same power-sucking one Urahara put Rukia into in the beginning. He mentions that being in it for so long took a lot of his power (but not all of it, since he's the endgame beast) when he was first unveiled as a Shinagami against Grand Fisher.
We all know it's all about Tsugumi.
It's nice that this is getting translated again. About this chapter specifically I think the author is starting to overuse the whole

Yeah, but I don't really mind that so much. Most likely because
he'll end up fighting the fox for dominance or just because he wants to/wants to protect something (like the world or his place in it, I don't know) Seems more like a device to get them moving and the adventure started. Honestly, I don't care about about cheap deaths but if it gets the plot moving, go right ahead. Fox guy probably has all nine tails by now and is almost a demon. Should be interesting to see where he's gone (probably crazy).

There is a good probability that this is just my memory failing me, but I don't remember ever reading a manga with as much blushes and cute faces as NISEKOI. That's the whole point of this manga, huh, selling ~moe desu~

My sentiments exactly. The author's done another series called Kimi no Knife which dabbles in similar themes, but it's not in the same league IMO.
