Union! 01
Today's gimmick is gynophobia! And aliens (probably a harem to pop up) and a bathhouse for all those glamour shots.
Well anyway, was pretty much by the numbers. They just happened as it happened so it was pretty much like a whatever.
Cheers, Mikasa approved.
Minamoto-kun Monogatari 137
Until the next girl appears I'll be reading this with I'll make a man out of you in the background.
Sumire 16-sai 1
Deconstruction
- : a theory used in the study of literature or philosophy which says that a piece of writing does not have just one meaning and that the meaning depends on the reader
- : the analytic examination of something (as a theory) often in order to reveal its inadequacy
- : Sumire 16-sai
Ever heard the expression "behind every moeblob, there's a man at a desk"? No? Maybe that's because I just made it up. But Takeru Nagayoshi seems to agree with me, because Sumire takes this fact and punches you in the face with it. By turning the typically inconspicuous role of an author and turning them into a ventriloquist, it forces the rest of the cast (and the reader) to confront the truth that the enthusiastic new girl in the class is really just the machinations of a middle aged man. I even saw a bit of my own reaction to K-on in the way other characters react to "Sumire".
The message of Sumire is pretty obvious. "Judge a character by what they present, rather than by who created them" The first chapter hits you over the head with this and I can't imagine the other 51 to be any different. By the end of the first chapter Sumire felt less like a manga and more like an argument presented in sequential images, accompanied by text. The cornerstone being that if you forget, even for a second, that "Sumire" is a doll with a man's hand shoved up her backside to make her talk, the argument is settled. I'm not sure if I agree completely with Nagayoshi's statement, but I'm willing to give him a few more chances to convince me.
I'm done with v1 TL and Akito's officially in. Hurray! If anyone wants to help out lemme know.
Otherwise look forward to the buttiest manga.
Keijo 1
in a sense.
WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.
Woah, love that color page. What mag does it run in?Urami Koi, Koi, Urami Koi.
In a world that's set after the story of the Chinese Zodiac, the leader of the rat family meets up with a cat fueled by hate.
Not a bad one shot. I like the art and I'm pretty fond of Chinese Zodiac stories. Using the basics of the different animals, I like the setting pretty well.
It also seems to have become a full series now, so looking forward to that~
So nobody is going to criticise my nonsensical ramblings? Where I explain the manga in a way that makes absolutely no sense unless you've already read it?
No, never! Are you ignoring my posts wiseblade?
Zwei, did a full stop kick your dog or something?

I'm talking about the actual structure of my post, rather than the content.
Hate that empty feeling after marathoning a good series (in this case Kingdom) and then wondering what epic manga I can read next...
Zweizer idk if you're trolling or not but god I want to proofread your posts so bad.
the criminal use of commas is killing me.
I believe in her. Her compassion and trust will win this last game at the end.Liar Game 185
Poor Kanzaki, can't do anything on her own.
Persona 5 protag is top husbando
Kanji is the only persona husbando that matters.

Yeah? Well, I'm a cynical person. That's a surprisingly cynical view of the author's message, as I personally interpreted it as it simply poking fun at the typical "dream girl" tropes and while it tries to validate the existence of Sumire, and by extension, most fictional characters, it's not particularily obnoxious about it since it's mainly a light-hearted comedy first and ultimately she, like most people, fictional or not, grows on you through her actions, even if they could be considered "artificial", because at the end, doll or not, she, like any decent, likeable person, acts for the better of her entourage and despite not "living" herself, brings life to the manga, and by extension, so does others "artificial characters".
I had to google the last 2 to even remember who they are.
Ken in P4U2 has a delicious design though, agreed, but fuck ken anyway.
Akihiko is the only persona husbando that matters.
