Oh and I still don't get how Cross Manage survives.

It's pure luck. It's doing slightly better then the series getting cancelled. Magico and Kurogane are two series that did the same thing.

We've been through this already guys, it gets special treatment as a sports manga. And Magico was ranking at Nisekoi levels up to like chapter 13-15, which at the time was easily the best they could find.

That's very true, but from a management standpoint one of the genres of Cross Manage is undeniably "sports". That's all there is to it.

It is but I don't think they really need to push any more sports series now that they have Kuroko. If they were going to push a sports series it would probably be one about a more popular sport like baseball or soccer.
