Most of the past has been revealed and I found a couple parts confusing. Too much Alice/ Lacie/the thing/Abyss and body swappings and going from past to closer past and shit that it becomes hard to understand certain details, but I guess what really matters is the conclusion, and the conclusion of this volume sucks. Oz better not be dead for real, killed by Gil, because that would really suck.

I love them. It's the right amount of bittersweet and tragedy (and angst) for me. Hell, Book 4 legitimately made me a little emotional. It has that creepy vibe to it mixed with minor mysteries going on. Hits the right notes for me.

You don't like the Intention of Jack Vessalius arc? Oh come on. I thought it was great. Having said that, the build up of the Headhunter arc to its final conclusion at the Yura mansion was fan-fucking-tastic.

Never said I don't like it, just the way this volume ends. I mean, I like Oz and seeing him receive so much damage through the revelations and then having Gil shoot him... hurts. Also while I found some parts in this volume confusing, I still liked it. I just wish the author didn't use such a confusing narration with the switches between the two Alice, past and past past etc.
I found the arc extremely well played as it's a culmination of all the things that's been happening in the series up to that point. It doesn't feel like a massive plot dump either because it carefully introduces the various motivations of characters and how they came to be while building up the actual workings of the world. I didn't find it to confusing, however, but that may be due to having read the series multiple times. I absolutely adore the series. The only thing I found sort of suspect was Leo.
Just read all of the The Stratocracy of Altair that's been translated thus far, and it was alright.
I liked the economics the part the best.
Felt the 3 sultans arc was too long.
But man, with all the foreign terminologies, it was kind of hard reading at times, what with like half of some dialogue being some foreign title or phrase.
Like I'm not sure if his name is Mahmut or if that's a title.

Yeah, it's surprisingly okay. The only thing I'll have to tunnel (VPN) for was Kill la Kill last season until madman fucked up spectacularly and the rights reverted, and a few misc. anime I haven't gotten around to starting yet.

Eh, I actually do pay for the manga sub. Anime I can give less of a damn about.
I don't think they even had a manga sub option back when I bought my yearpass.
The thing about getting paid by Americans is that half the time they want to give you paypal money and I can't spend that on anything except virtual goods.
And I can't even spend it on netflix because netflix blocks international paypal accounts
