The thing with Shonen is that it relies heavily on its structure and end goal
When you try to expand the story and/or add extra enemies and end goals it becomes inconsistent with the overall plot therefor creating plot holes and filler like moments
You know when the author is trying to milk the moment
An example is this arc in Bleach
You have great parts that stay connected to the plot... Parts in which people where waiting to happen
Rukia and Renji unleashing their Bankai was great... Having good enemies that don't feel like fodder is great (burn finger dude)
But then you also have parts where you know it is just extra filler nonsense like those enemy girls
You have Ichigo who we've been waiting for having his reintroduction ruined by fighting some non significant enemies that are just there to waste time
With Naruto... There is this whole space speculation (which is likely not going to happen I hope) going on but in all honesty that is completely out of place with the over all plot and world
If Kishi hinted this multiple volumes ago then okay it would lead people to expect it or even be excited for it but if you introduce a new enemy a few chapters back and then later make it as the main enemy (or even the end enemy of everything) then that's just BS

That's not exactly enough time to set up a twist like this properly, considering how long the series has been running and its general pacing.

An example of a good villain overlord is having them teased throughout the series until their major reveal and surprise twist afterwards
Example being
Joa from Toriko (being known as the dark chef and jester... Eventually turning out to be a Frohze look a like) and others that people could likely point out

Naruto changed around its villains
Had something with the Akatsuki for awhile good hints and eventual twist with Tobi but then burnt out with Obito and began to digress
To what it is now
It felt as if afterwards Naruto was just in for a ride following destiny rather then his dreams/end point and meeting new random villains (who weren't as developed before their major super re-reveal) along they way

The school nurse drunkenly touches herself in front of the science teacher, and things get awkward. Didn't feel very resolved at all, but apparently there's a serialization that no one has translated, so maybe that's why.

So our favorite series about mafias, thieves, trains and immortals.
I think the most interesting thing with my only exposure to this is the anime is that it isn't jumping around different stories with a large cast of characters but focuses on one story with still a large cast of characters. But of course, it was enjoyable and I rather liked how it was started and ended with this being framed as a story of the past.
I also liked that it felt like a complete story on its own.
So our favorite series about mafias, thieves, trains and immortals.
I think the most interesting thing with my only exposure to this is the anime is that it isn't jumping around different stories with a large cast of characters but focuses on one story with still a large cast of characters. But of course, it was enjoyable and I rather liked how it was started and ended with this being framed as a story of the past.
I also liked that it felt like a complete story on its own.

Edge of Tomorrow (Film)
It's hard to really call this an adaptation of the manga, because apart from the basic premise and the name of the female lead, it's a pretty different movie (Think The Raid: Redemption and Dredd). It's also a much better story than the manga. Instead of wallowing in angst, the movie lets Tom Cruise just be Tom Cruise, and while it occasionally allows for moments of emotion and sadness, the movie understands that it is a summer blockbuster and throws in enough jokes in between the spectacular battle scenes to make the movie just breeze on by.
The only part that the Manga does better is the ending- Edge of Tomorrow does not have an egregious Hollywood ending, but i'm betting the ending was re-written a dozen times to get what we got. For a movie that doesn't make the relationship between Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise forced and cheesey, they got a little cute with the ending.
I'm not capable of judging a film that had both Blink and Bishop in it, but it's definitely the best non-Xmen blockbuster so far this summer. (granted, ASM2 and Godzilla were both awful, so it's not high praise). It's definitely worth seeing in theaters.

Yeah, i think LN vol.1 work like oneshot in Jump, if it's popular, there will be continuation, but if it's not, then it end there with proper ending. I remember Haganai author mention that he will write vol. 2 if it's popular.

How is this better than Amazing Spiderman 2, that is thus far best movie of the year, only looking to be potentially outdone by Transformers and Into the Storm.
Ending being worst than the manga is pretty problematic and disappointing as it was already, personally, a weak cheap ending. Ill end up seeing this in the theater in two weeks though...
