I'm becoming a plane to America in a day or so, so I'll be posting less probably in the next ~month, but oh well (remember I'm still on
twitter for non-manga stuff!). In any case, I guess I'm sorta done with picking at my wishlist for a while. I'll continue catching up though.
I still haven't touched the things I really wanted to when I started this, like Baby Steps/Silver Spoon/Brynhildr/Bride's Story/Aria/etc etc, but such is the curse of arbitrarily ordered wishlists.
As a finisher, here's a summary of sorts (with a ranking! whoa!)
10.
Amari Mawari
It has no business being as cute as it is with that kind of setup, but it happened and it's pretty dang gosh cute. The chapters are so light that it works. Also I suspect everyone in this manga are 5 years younger than they say they are.
9.
Itoshi no Karin
I haven't read much of it yet, but it seems like a fun shy romance. And there's something strangely endearing about a guy who swims in bushes all day stalking people.
8.
Ane Log
I don't know why this was so funny to me considering how limited it is, but man, it got me really hard sometimes. I just really like the concept, I guess. Every time she gets going, I'm already there.
7.
Riko & Haru & The Irukawa Hot Springs
More countryside is always welcome, haha. I really liked the atmosphere and how easy it is for people to often just randomly manifest in a hot spring for no reason.
6.
Stretch
Sometimes I get to hear clicks in my body in really disturbing places but this is really fun. Both the stretches and what's around them.
5.
Petit-Tan /
Wakabayashi Toshiya's 4-koma Collection
A tie!
Petit-Tan: It's way less lewd than given credit for, and it's just fun jokes with a touch of atmosphere. I really like this kind of thing so this scratched a good itch.
Wakebayashi: The sequel chapters are amazing. Some are significantly more aww than humor but that's the good part.
4.
Hajiotsu
3.
Nekogurui Minako-san
I laughed way too much. I said this before but I never thought I'd see a manga where every single panel is a punchline (some have multiple). It's relentless!
2.
Himouto! Umaru-chan
This is adorable and hilarious. I would be saying vastly different things if I was in the brother's place, but honestly, you know he's partly at fault there.
1.
Flying Witch
It's got just about my favorite representation of witchcraft that I've seen in manga, it's in the countryside with amazing atmosphere, and it gives me an insane Yotsuba& feeling. Anyone who likes Yotsuba should give this a try, you'll like this, and it'll help make up for Yotsuba's release pace. Could be one of my favorite manga, if it isn't already.
