Berserk chapters one through everything
I read all of berserk so far in the past few weeks as part of a period of being absurdly lazy.
Time to join the eternal waiting now.
So this is how it feels to be a reader of A Song of Ice and Fire... not even certain if the creator is still actively working.....
I enjoyed it immensely though. The current fantasia thing is excruciating because I can't figure out if Griffith is merely playing god to ease the pain of his broken dreams, or actually has a distinct goal for good or bad. Seeing so little of him makes the mystery of it excruciating.

I'm finally starting on this. I've watched the movie like 8 times but never read the manga.
First thing I notice is that this is left-to-right and it's driving me insane. And tons of plot details are either different from the movie or the same, but in different spots and also different details. I'm interested in seeing how this all plays out, as it's six volumes but at this rate the movie seems to have only covered 2.
And I'm also glad the mechanical art porn is still in nearly every page.

The boat ride has actually been way more enjoyable than I feared.
I guess it seems downright comedic to people who've been reading since before the boat ride started though.
Does the internet have a "dont forget, you're here forever" image for the boat ride yet?
You're in for a wild ride. Akira is still to this day one of my favorite manga of all time. It's a masterpiece. Movie is great too.

The art in this really is amazing.
Now major plot details have remained, but with different characters or in different places.
It feels weird being so familiar with the adaptation and confused by the changes in the original, it's ususally the other way around for me. But I highly doubt anyone in the States read the Akira manga before the movie caused the boom it did
And is it just me or was the afro shrine priest person a guy in the movie and a girl in the manga

Next volume is nearly 400 pages and there's zero chance I can read all that tonight so I'm just going to stop before I drop from being too tired
