Insulting people has dropped from what I've seen lately. Still happens. I'm more concerned about people not knowing how to have proper discussions on a forum without dropping a fallacy every other sentence. Or every sentence =P

Eh, for me it's not really about the art, it's more about how the story pacing is. We get tons of action which I'm glad as hell about but it kinda feels like the story is dragging about at a slow pace. Plus, every time I'm reading a chapter, I'm going through each page and when I get to the last page I feel like there's still another page left and nope, I'm done, every time. Chapters end at a poor part almost always, and it feels like a chapter is missing ending pages.

Kingdom's super enjoyable, but damn, it doesn't feel as good to read it in a weekly basis compared to bursts.

Yeah, I just noticed on how Hara draw his manga all this time is not by per-chapter despite being a weekly series. Chapter 391 ends with Kanjou save Ou Hon ass by suddenly come to the rescue from the flank, just like that. The next chapter we have beaten up Ou Hon fallen from his horse and Kanjou that somehow got so many bruises from saving his young lord. This for me clearly indicate that Hara draw his manga continously by arc, not chapterly basis. This makes Kingdom so satifying to read in burst because each chapter seamlessly connected. But if you read it on weekly basis, oh boy you have to suffer reading an incomplete story until that arc done.

Pretty great chapter, especially with the memories at the end. The sci-fi stuff isn't anything new but I laughed at the line "The politicians agonized secretly over their own hypocrisy..." for some reason.

Also this is looking like the set-up chapter to show how much of a threat he is and also how much of an asshole he is. Plus it also shows the stops that Elite ten dude brought out to defeat Soma.

if going by tropes i see Takumi losing here and Soma during his battle with the mook will more likely place his knife on the line for the return of the brother's saw and possibly all the other shit he took from those people.


Or maybe Takumi will win and it becomes a wowitsfuckingnothing.gif? we'll see

Did you already post about I Am a Hero getting a live action movie? It says that it's getting one, but I don't know these Japanese actors/actresses.

I mean, that's possible. I still don't understand. This next volume will probably make it more clear. Hiromi, the school girl, seems to have some powers. One thing's for sure: she sees the world very differently because of her infection. Whenever it shows her perspective, it's super trippy.

It has Arimura Kasumi and Nagasawa Masami (who is also starring in the live action Umimachi Diary) so I'm hyped.

im not even sure where i read it but i distinctly remember him getting the sniper rifl. And after that whole volume where they showcased the kids with powers its apparent that hiromi is a special case among the infected.

Judging by past chapters, I don't think the result is the key point for most of the cook-offs. Everyone pretty much expected Tadokoro to lose for instance, but even if she lost, the execution of the battle is fantastic enough to keep things interesting. I think even if Takumi wins, it's going to be a surprise how.

Also that Samurai pic was pretty fucking boss as well

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Vol 2

Seems like this was Ep 4-7 in the anime.

Man, I did not expect this to last 4 episodes in the anime. It felt like so little happened in this vol but it lasted forever, even though all the Mibu and Blanche stuff was a good amount.

I don't think I noticed any truly big difference between the anime and the LN this volume besides the obvious internal monologue. Probably small cuts and changes and adaptions. At most maybe that the councilor didn't intrude at the ninja school in the LN.

Time to start Vol 3. Hoping to at the minimum be LN caught up by the time the next episode comes out, although I expect to completely outpace it seeing as they've consumed nearly all of my free time since I started.

Edit: Guess it's time to show off my love for KKOW. It would have been Teppu, but didn't like how it looked :(.

You can just see the point where the staff just threw their hands up and said "You want this, Jump Readership? Then have it all, have all the shit!" as they meretriciously destroy everything good in this comic;
Best character (Robot girl)? In a fucking coma, probably dead, the city full of interesting things and people? Fucking gone in a dragon apocalypse.

All that's left is two dragons fighting a battle that barely makes any sense for them to be having and one of them is defined by his lack of definition and the other is a fucking snatcher.

If Nisekoi is the long game of writing the worst comic possible and getting away with it, Stealth Symphony is the angry, apocalyptic outburst disguised as giving the readers what they think they want.

I hope Narita and Amano take their talents elsewhere cuz Jump is a cespit where all dreams go to die.

I thought Takumi was going to lose after 75 but now I'm not so sure. The copy of the opponent's dish gives off a loser aura.

Youre really planning to be caught up to the newest volume by Saturday? Should pace it out wont you be burnt out on Mahouka?

THough at least you dont have to wait for the chapters to be filled in, I remember when they were volumes behind current and going all out of order for translating, was so annoying, and they still are out of order in the most current one.

1st arc should have had one or two episodes taken off or been reduced, enrollment arc is just the least interesting of all the arcs, with nine schools and the one following it my favorite.

No way will takumi win. Stalker dude is going to defeat him and establish himself as someone to beat in this arc, with Soma probably holding a shokugeki with the stalker dude in order to win back takumi's kinfe or whatever.
