Its the thought that counts.
Not up to the end of Vol 12, meant being caught up to where the anime is. If I did another 10 volumes in like 4 1/4th days I don't think I'd have any time for sleep lol. Although I do expect to be fully caught up with the LN before the end of the month, or even half month.
When I get into things I tend to go all in on them (and on the other side of the spectrum, I have a hard time actually sticking through things that aren't completely on my hype radar that I might find good/interesting (ex: punpun, Chihayafuru anime, etc), and I have a general problem with reading books on my laptop (no reader feels) so I intend to milk this desire to read the LNs for all it's worth before it dies out.
And I agree, at least from the anime 9 schools arc is definitely better than enrollment. Definitely looking forward to the rest of Vol 3.

From the dream and previous flashbacks, we've seen that she clearly had a brother complex, and thought that her perfection would help her live out the ideal life.
Instead what do we have? Her perfection lead to her being isolated, her brother resenting her due to an inferiority complex, and the brother abusing her to the point of a persecution complex based on her own perfection. Her path in MMA hinges on her being a deathseeker, searching for someone stronger than her.

Though the manga is quite predictable staying true to the genre with every outcome easily predicted by the typical events, so Taku would definitely win due to bearing the weight of Isami on his hands. They already even said how terrible and dishonorable Mimisaka is.

Something that was sitting on my backlog for a little while. Looks like it's mainly just a murder show with some thinly-veiled morale in it. The atmosphere is pretty good, though I wonder if it gets better afterwards, as the horror is rather lacking for now. (maybe a departure from the too short "story of the chapter" format?)

I'd say that Eyebrows in Natsuo's dream is actually Natsuo herself, while the Natsuo of the dream is how she sees Eyebrows and most other people that have enjoyable lives or that are enjoying their lives. It makes me love Natsuo even more and cheer for her.

I have a rotation
when I started posting in the last thread (like the very start) it was a Holo one I had for ages. Then Senjougahara, then Yuuko and now back to Holo again
Although Holo always has been and always will be my one true love.
I'll probably have to add Esdese to the rotation at some point too.
Female knight is pretty adorable
but it's nowhere near as adorable as Holo riding a Narwhal.
Unless mine eyes deceive me, those are miniature ears on that narwhal. I'm pretty sure narwhals don't have ears.

As for the challenger? Sounds like he is indeed a skilled cook, but not a pleasant one to be around, and thus, one with no real job prospects. Copying an opponents specialty and doing it better only works if the opponent doesn't bring out any surprises.

I know all that. Still, the execution made it comical.

I think he is impervious to losing due to whats on the line (fighting for Isami's livelihood, and his covetted blade). And the emphasis on the 99win winning streak would suggest a crushing defeat is in order to bring Mimasaka down.

Yeah pointing out he's on a 99 win streak seems like he's heading towards a big loss.
But you can never tell with this series.

eh its not like Isami is being expelled either and its just Takumi getting riled up since the mook found the easiest way to accomplish his goal and get what he really wants (their covetted blade).
as for the 99 win thing its possible it could be poised to break but given his supposed importance due to elite ten guy's desire to target Soma i can see him surviving and the streak continuing for a short time at least.
If takumi wins then that whole angle is crushed before anything got started and the elite ten dude looks like an idiot.
We'll see.
