But then I realize I am better off just buying the Author's manga and support that person directly.
Though I always thought, if I ever start a scanlation crew, any time I ask for donations, it will be strictly to buy manga of w/e I'm scanlating and donating each to a public library.

I agree. Do you know what scanlators actually do with the donation money that they get?
As a former fansubber with some familiarity with some crews, I can tell you that 70%-90% are not for server costs or buying magazines or volumes to scanlate. you believe that load of bs then I got 20 bridges to sell to you. even give you a 10% discount if you buy a minimum of 5 bridges. and if you purchase 10, I'll throw in another bridge, absolutely free*
*while supplies last.

I know one who actually bought something from a billy mays program with donated money.
often, donation money is used for personal shit. Pizza or various snacks. Not often the tl or typesetter/cleaner actually get paid but when they do, its usually to keep them from abandoning project.
I know some actually use money to collect better raw source material or pay for website if not on wordpress but peeps like those are rare. And idiots in regards to katter should just use wordpress or blogspot instead. Why burn cash on a website? Idiots.

Man there's still a lot of Touhou That's pretty impressive. I just noticed that it's easier for me to recognize music circles than h-works ones. That's... kind of sad? Either way, that's more of panda's and Lele's domain.
I spot Kirintei (木鈴亭in Block D (Ｄ44a), though it seems like their doujinshi will be an Idolmaster one. Eh, not really interested by it.

Seems like Day 2 is more Kancolle-oriented. Not sure if it surpasses Touhou this time too though (but it looks like it does).
Well, nothing really interesting for Day 2. A lot more doujinshis than Day 1 though. You got Kancolle, Touhou, Jojo, Detective Conan, Free!, Haikyuu, Tokyo Ghoul and stuff like that.

Pretty fun I'd say, though probably one day would had it been enough (if not for the GL on open theater I would had probably only had went on Saturday).
Shokugeki no Soma had sort of two booths, one in one of the halls where they had one or two cosplay ladies giivng out flyers, and another with cosplayers to take pictures off, the second of which was in general pretty empty.
Tokyo Ghoul one I only noticed on the second day, it seemed to have a small line to take pictures with a Gourmet cosplayer, and a bigger line when it was Kaneki and Gourmet cosplayer later on, though there was quite a line to get the bag with Tokyo Ghoul in it (It also had some other anime on the other side, no idea if that one was popular too), my coworker said he waited for an hour on the line to get the bag, I probably waited 15-20 minutes myself.
Gintama was pretty popular, they had a Gintama booth with cosplayers right next to Soma cosplaybooth, and it always had a line of people to take pictures.
Prison School was just that giant banner and TV with the teaser on it, no one was really paying to it to be honest, lots of people walking by without giving it a second though.
