Extraction shooter, terrible art direction...

When they first teased it with the melty puddles and the garish colors I thought it was going to have a Splatoon like mode but this is just a shooter with ugly character designs.

No idea why people are so down on this. It looks great. Vibe and art style reminds me of 90s shooters like System Shock and of course the original Marathon, mixed in with shades of Mirror's Edge and the skyboxes Bungie are known for. People are just completely allergic to color now.

These mfers struck gold with Destiny 2 and now think they are GAAS experts, going as far as convincing Sony and ND that Factions 2 wouldnt work.

And this is what they are cooking? Looks so cheap

Bungie and Sony are set for a rude awakening

I am just surprised how similar the crosshair, the visual impact of gun, the death animation, the stab disintegration, The grenade effects all of it looks so much similar to Destiny 2.

Still waiting to see more.

There's gotta be something else Bungie|SONY is working on.

It looks cool, but it also looks like many other games with similar premises. The artstyle is quite unique.

But how far away from the original Marathon is this? I remember the original game being lore-heavy to the core, but this looks like a very colorful interpretation of The Matrix with System Shock.

I don't play these kind of games anyway, but that didn't look very appealing. If I saw this footage without knowing it's from Bungie, I probably wouldn't even remember watching it.

Well Destiny 2 plays great still so the controls should be fantastic as they are

But this is not Marathon to me, where the scary horror vibes for example, sure it has the weird cyberpunky thing going on at least but its not what I'd expect from that IP being revived tbh, think of it like this, RE:Verse is not what I want from Resident Evil, same applies here

I think GAF is way too down on multiplayer. Look, I have no interest in jumping on this as I've put way too many fucking hours in online FPS in the past and I got fed up, but there's way too many overreactions here. Can't believe I have to say that. The gamer retention stats will tell the story when it releases, I can see it doing just fine. This really does not have the Concord vibe. I bet a lot of FPS streamers will love this.

I would much rather troll James Sawyer Ford James Sawyer Ford and Ponies but even I have limits :p
