This bothered me, as did the HHH face intro. They were pushing this heavily, breaking character when NXT was hidden from the marks is one thingy, but to do it when everyone's watching is just stupid. You're the authority, so be the authority.

Kayfabe dying is one thing, but being in character on TV and breaking character at the same time is some next level mindfuckery.

Of course it bothered you. Everything HHH seems to do bothers you. He could donate a million dollars to poor kids, and you'd say it was out of character.

The Authority have made it clear though that they only have it out for two people, one of which they don't bring up at all.

HHH and Stephanie hate D-Bry, this is obvious. The other is Paul Heyman in a shocking bit of continuity.

That annoyed me to. I get why they did it but if they are character on TV they should stick with it. Or at least keep it less obvious.

But HHH has been changing character every other show now. From heel to face, to heel again. This whole Authority thing is a mess in that regard.

What? This is not true, I've praised his thoughts about developmental, I have praised him by saying he was my favorite wrestler during his heel run in 99/2000. I find him to be smart and charismatic and I'm pretty sure I have praised his matches with Taker.

But that doesn't mean he doesn't have flaws, and this was a mistake on their part. They're heels right? Then they shouldn't be acting as faces on programming, right?

I kinda agree, actually. It didn't bother me too much, but I did find it kinda odd that both HHH and Stephanie are baby faces on NXT, yet are 100% heels on the main roster. Little jarring if you watch both.

Also, I REALLLLLY hope Punk doesn't come back and get inserted in the title match at 'Mania. What a way to screw over D-Bry if that's the case. Just say home and watch Walking Dead/UFC, Punk! :D

Even if they are heels, Triple H has made it evident that NXT is his baby, kayfabe and out of kayfabe. So he wants it to succeed. Not all heels need to be in full on heel mode all the time. It makes it all the more impactful when they DO act like heels because it's a sharp reminder.

I mean, you have The Shield vs the Wyatts and neither one of those teams are babyfaces.

The majority of WCW themes were from sound libraries, of which WWE didn't purchase when they bought WCW. Or most of them. Or some of them. Some guys have their stock music (Dean, Rey, Benoit, Kidman) but other guys don't and I can't tell what the reason would be. I think they should have bought a select few, especially DDP's. I thought they would have all the Jimmy Hart songs, but it seems like that isn't the case in for all guys so I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Triple H and Stephanie being sometimes faces and sometimes heels on Raw is and has been confusing these past months, but I don't think that's the same issue as them being faces on NXT at all.

Edit: Antonio Cesaro's French rap entrance music that sampled Malenko's Bond theme was okay because Johnston wrote the Bond theme in the first place, right? This is confusing sometimes.

Bryan was going to face Sheamus, now he gets Triple H in the third main event. Seems to me Bryan benefited just as much in this scenario as Punk did.

I don't know, people understand there is a difference between Paul Levesque and Hunter, but on TV he should be in character at all times. IMO.

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is the deadline to cancel the 1 week free trial of WWE Network.

I'm cancelling today just to be safe.

I don't have a device to watch it on my tv and barely even used the service this week. Plus I'm in a place where $10 a month requires serious consideration; that's hard times, daddy.


EDIT: deadline is 3/4 but they don't say what time. Went ahead and cancelled.
