Does anyone know if online play and local multiplayer are region locked? My sister just bought a DS XL in America and I've got a UK copy of Mario Kart and a UK DS. She's going to pick up Mario Kart but I want to confirm we can play online and locally (when she visits) if we both have our own copies of the game.

Online play isn't. No clue about Local sorry.

Thanks for the reply. That bodes well for us as it means that, at the very least, we can use the online mode to play between different countries and while at home. If anyone knows about local multiplayer please let me know.

all that bumping from shark didn't help me out in that last race. after you flew off course i hit the fish and didn't make it to the other side.
