just got it and i went straight into online multiplayer and im getting my ass kicked

love this game however. really liking how the laps are just checkpoints in one huge map. yess :D

edit: err rather some of the maps are like that. are none of them?

My bad, I thought you were referring to the fast Ghost data for this track, which is 1:58:996. This time unlocks as an option once you beat the slower ghost racer.

Rainbow Road. I got hit by a blue shell, a red shell, another blue shell, a star, then bumped off the stage.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but maybe you can help shed some light on it....

So I am playing MK7, and I go to my friends list from the home screen (game is suspended) and I can see I have like 2-3 friends playing MK7, so I go back to the game, go to Online multiplayer and when I select Friends, it shows that none of my friends are actually playing the game...

Am I only going to see them online if they selected to go online from the game menu?

Does it say join game when you are on the OS friends list? If not I'm guessing it's because they are playing single player or lobby is full.

I'm amazed at how much fun I am having with this game. I stopped playing MK after N64, but this feels like an ULTIMATE Mario Kart. Online is just perfect. Only thing missing is voice chat.

It's always grayed out... which I assumed it meant they were playing SP, but I had thought that with the game friend list, it would send them a message or something... Oh well...

In Communities, you are tied down to those specific points only in that Community, you start at 0 and go up the more you play in said Community.

If you just play normal Worldwide online, you start at 1000 and level up to I believe 9999.

It's a much better way to play, also, races are individual and not mandatory Grand Prix style.

For the first time ever I managed a complete GP in the communities. Next time round I get disconnected during the first race... and just as I managed to get from last to first.

Stupid question, but how do I change my name?

I changed user name in settings to Kerub. I'm still "Krille" when I race for some reason. >.>

I think it's based on your Mii name. If you change your Mii name to Kerub or create a new Mii named Kerub, then it would show up.

I love getting shafted by a red shell, whilst in first, then dropping to fourth and then getting completely bummed by the blue shell that was launched whilst I was in first and dropping OFF A FUCKING CLIFF.

Jesus it's tough not to rage at this game sometimes.... Think I'll stop playing for today.

Bam. You're my 20th buddy. I feel as though my 3DS has tapped into some of its considerable potential in the last couple of days. Joining friends online from the Home Menu on a Nintendo console just blows my mind.

this is really why we need a no item only community or a banana only one.

I always get the Errorcode: 003-4099

And I already put the 3ds's IP in the routers DMZ.

Anyone found a solution?
