I see. I didn't really know they had that bad of a history.TheGreatDave said:They once stated as fact that the Wii's stand doubled up as a power supply.
I'm going to assume they're just retarded, amateur writers.

Amusing, yes?
Their exact wording was:
Doesn't sound like speculation to me...
That said, MK is awesome, the DS game was amazing, and given there are set to be more than 8 players online going by what Reggie said at E3, I expect the details from ONM are likely to be true, they just got a bit of a telling off from Nintendo for spilling the beans too early.
Or, this was all planned to generate a bit of publicity for ONM and remind people MK Wii is on the way.
I know, the item still sucks though, by lining up for the blue shell blast and carefully timing your boost you still loose time.Koren said:You can learn to avoid the blue shell... It's tricky, but doable.
I can't believe there are still people out there who don't know how the WiFi Connection from Nintendo works. It was even explained in this thread.Dr_Cogent said:Problem is, all of those people have to be friends right?
Using friends codes right?
Yeah thats trueAurora said:Classic controller is an absolute must.

You can always star out their name and block links from their site.Lobster said:Can you really ban a magazine?

And motion control is the reason one bougt a Wii, so no.
Gigglepoo said:Why are you trying to limit people's options? If someone wants classic controls, why deny them that? The Wii is not only about motion controls just like the NDS is not only about touchscreen controls. It is possible to have classic controls mixed in with new controls in the same game.

ksamedi said:While i agree with what you say for games with motion controls that replace button presses, i dont agree that Mariokart should give you that option because knowing Nintendo, they probably designed the whole game around motion control. If the tracks were made specifically to adjust to the motion controls, or stunts that use the remote in some wacky way than you cant offer classic controls.

MK DS is the most recent (no idea about the arcade ones) and arguably the best iteration. The charm is back in full force, baby.Chao said:I don't really care about Mario Kart series anymore.
Didn't buy Double Dash, and I don't think I'll be buying MKWii either.
Mario Kart lost its charm![]()
DataBot said:I hope they include map pack downloads like nds pack or n64 pack or snes... for this game, I would even pay 800 - 1000 wii points.
Nintendo better do it right if you want make this game a must buy for everyone (even japan).
Mario Kart is a system seller dont forget.
(how about making a thread about it)
I think the Nintendo Power article info said "at least 12"...Slavik81 said:So this was debunked?

For the umpteenth time, you don't need friend codes to play online.gconsole said:Mario Kart 16 multiplayer online = Yeahhhhh!!!!!!

To be fair, most of the guys seriously spouting this probably don't have a Wii, so how would they know?Does anybody seriously not know this? Im starting to think that nobody on GAF knows anything about Nintendo Wi-Fi connection...
stilgar said:Ho boy, why did you do that ? Just to hurt me ? Just to give me hope on something new about MK then say "ah-ah" ?
Caesar III said:The only thing to top this is multi-console gaming without internet! So I can play against my family with 2 wiis standing next to each other and without connecting to the online services but connect ad hoc to each other.
if we carry those wiis to a friend, we have to set up a new wifi connection each time we do it! That sucks. especially typing the key. Some of my friends doesn't have wifi, so it is not possible to connect to the internet.DavidDayton said:What's so bad about using the internet for this? Just curious...
