Its time for the NA Striker's to get serious and get competitive. The road to the Gaf Cup won't be easy there's alot of triple A talent crossing over from the Preseason League :lol . Gaf Leagues are filled with mature and dedicated players who will keep things competitive.

The Rules of the game

-The league will be split into two divisions. Each team will play the other members of their division twice [ Once Home, Once Away ]. You will have 3 weeks to play the matches. The Deadline is 8pm east Sunday October 14th

-The top 4 teams will move on to an elimination round.

-The game layout will be standard best of 3. With 3 points awarded per win.
I.E. Team One wins 2-0 over Team Two. Team One gets 6 points Team Two Gets 0.
OR Team Seven wins 2-1 over Team Six. Team Seven gets 6 points and Team Six gets 3

-The points awarded for wins decide the standings, however in the case of a tie we will first go by total scores and later goals against and loses against if need be to decide seeds.

-After each match you will post the results on this thread under this format

-The stadiums allowed for this league are any without hazards. So basically the Classics or the Vice. (Galactic and the Classroom may or may not have a hazard, I don't know for sure so I left them out, but feel free to correct me).

-As far as Disconnects, Overly Laggy Games and No shows. We are all fairly mature enough to handle any of these issues as they arise between each other. If there is a problem between two people you can both PM me the details and I'll try and come up with a fair resolution.

-If at any point you feel you can't continue to compete any longer please post so or PM me that your dropping out, Real Life tends to get in the way sometimes and we understand.

Damnit my plans to join this may have been thwarted. Assumed we would have wireless connection in our on campus apartments like we did in the suites but just moved in today to find that is unfortunately not the case.

I'll see if my roommate is willing to take me to a Gamestop or something sometime between Wednesday when he gets here and the weekend so i can get a usb connector or something (along with preordering galaxy and brawl). So if theres plans for games during this week or anything I'm gonna have to either play them later in the week or next week hopefully. Campus better not say anything about me getting a wi-fi connector...

I have faith that this tourney will be played 'til the end. Because:

1. Most of us have played all of our matches in the last tourney.
2. We don't have the one week limit to play a match anymore from what I understand.
3. If some people don't play all of their matches, who cares, they'll be ranked lower and eliminated fast because they will play against the best players first. That's their problem.
4. Mario Strikers Charged is STILL awesome

I'll be updating the OP as frequently as possible when each game is played. Haven't decided on the layout just yet. As for the divisions I'll be putting that up soon. Going to split it as the odds and evens according to the sign up list. So each division has 5 returning from the old league and one newcomer each for a total of ten games to be played before the elimination round.

Also, CrookedRain and Vumpler posted in this thread but neither officially signed up.

Rules of the Cup

-The league will consist of 20 players max [ 16 slots held for the active members from the last league and 4 for potential new comers ]. However if any of the active members pass on the new league those slots become available to new register # 5 then # 6 and so on.

-***Registration for anyone opens 8pm on Sunday***

-You can sign up until 8pm Eastern time on Monday September 24th or until we fill the 20 slots.

Also, Please do not sign up if you are unsure if you can commit, we'd like everyone in the league to be as competive and active as possible to make things run smoothly and to have a kick ass time.

I'm fine with any decision. Random player on in other division or random player in same division. I just figure we should bridge this issue now and come up with a solution so if (when?) it happens, we know what to do and it is agreed upon.

I would assume, of course, that the additional games for the opposing player offers NO benefit for them so that they don't end up with extra games played.
