Marvel Digital Graphic Novel Sale at Amazon

Squirrel Girl is very funny and charming.

I suggest starting Vision 1 tonight because it's such a self-contained story that you're going to be kicking yourself if you don't have the second half and don't want to spend more than $2.20 on it. (I dunno when this sale ends but can't imagine it'll be long)

Thanks. I ended up receiving a credit for my first purchase, so I used that for volume 2. Also Bought Squirrel Girl.

All 3 for 4.40 is pretty great.

So with that free credit they seem to be giving for one free book, is that just applied automatically when we purchase it?

Which is the best Black Panther?

Someone feel free to correct me, but I believe the best regarded is the run by Christopher Priest with the recent Coates run being well regarded as well.

the priest run is great, coates isnt though

Which is the best Black Panther?

both. Priest is more action oriented, and Coates is more of a political thriller.

lol interested in why you think this. inb4 not my BP.

Priest is better due to volume alone, while Coate's only has 13 issues under his belt.

What the hell? Why is Amazon giving me an option to buy digital comics that I already have purchased in the past? How am I supposed to know if I own it already while browsing?

Is there a specific collection of Moon Knight that is highly recommended? I remember it being described and it seemed very interesting and out there, and it seemed more recent...

Ellis has a solid run, but I think Moon knight by lemire is the best, and is honestly on par with other recent great hits like Vision.

warning reading this is like doing drugs for the first time, but don't worry all your questions will be answered as you read.

Hmmm... just starting buying things I've heard good things about on a whim

Fraction's Hawkeye Vol 1-4
Smith's Ghost Rider 1-2
The Vision Vol 1-2
Ms. Marvel v1
Squirrel Girl v1

I probably shouldn't return to this thread, I've spent too much.

Lord have mercy does this have some great fights. If you never read Luthor Strode jump on that next.

He's not s lot of people's bp. That's why the books numbers have dropped so hard.

And even though you try to preface it as a means to cut me off, he isn't the same panther anymore, and despite being a book with his name on it, he's a featured guest like ghost Rider is in his book. Coates is a good writer, but putting him on panther was a mistake

Ah yes it was the Ellis run I was thinking of....but you just got me to pick up the Lemire stuff as well. Thanks!

Anyone else want to recommend some of the more "heady" stuff in this sale? I picked up Vision, Moon Knight, and Miracleman. Preferably stuff that's not drowning in continuity. I love Hickman's East of West but I can't see how to read almost anything he's written for Marvel.

who are these people?

characters change over time. Priest run was a long time ago my dude. Wakanda was destroyed, secret war, civil war, and everything else took place between then. His sister is gone. Like damn shit changes.

Coates is great on BP, and the first 11 issues are some fire. A lot people want BP running through trees, rooftops, and clowning people, but then forget he is also a King who rules the most powerful nation.

so like I said, you dislike the book because this BP doesn't act like Priest BP. which is silly.

Characters change, but coming off of times runs out hes a different person. Not the same person put into a different situation like the man without fear, but a different person poorly dealing with the issues of his country. If it werent a panther book, it would be ok. But as a panther story he doesn't get the character

He doesn't at like priests panther, he doesnt act like Hickman's panther, he doesn't act like liss panther, hell he doesn't even have the confidence of hudlins panther. So it's kinda funny that most writers have an image of what panther is, but someone new comes along and because he doesn't act the same way he has for years, it's an issue with me and not the writer

yea he does. BP still delivers the ether, but BP had no shuri. and was tackling something couldn't be beaten with combat.

edit: times run out is before the wipe. people are different post wipe. Bp is still makes threats, and fucks people up.

Circumstances are different, but unless they've been altered in some way they are the same.

This is an amazing sale. I only wish Marvel's books were as interesting to me as DC/Vertigo/Image. Still really happy with this sale, picked up:

Dr Doom & Doctor Strange: Triumph & Torment
Books of Doom
Vision vol 1 + 2
Moon Knight vol 1 (Warren Ellis)

Amazing deal for a little over $10. Some of my top recommendations:

Daredevil: Born Again
Punisher: Born
Marvels
Silver Surfer: Requiem
Planet Hulk
Hawkeye

God Loves, Man Kills for 80 cents. I said damn.

They look a lot better on Comixology. Plus you may not always have Unlimited.

I bought the 3 book series suggested by amazon with that, it was a death of captain marvel and a new mutants one, all the same price 60p each here in the UK, so i assume also will be 80 cents

i PERSOnally quite enjoyed Christopher Priest's run from the 90s. Takes a while to get used to his writing style but once you get into it, it's a fun book.

Curious about this as well, I didn't see any way personally though. Has anyone had any issues with banks locking out their cards due to multiple purchases? I saw that issue a lot during the XBOX BC sale and would prefer for that not to happen cause there are a lot of books I'd love to pick up!

Not yet but i got a horrible feeling that once Payment goes through in like 2-3 days from now it will

How do I buy these comics? I'm on the Amazon page for Ms. Marvel Vol 1, I click on the 1-click buy button, it redirects me to another page telling me to choose a Kindle device, but the combobox only has one option "Deliver to: Kindle Cloud Reader", which is greyed out. I can't continue from this step.
Must I own a Kindle device? I merged my comixology account to Amazon because I thought I'd be able to read comics bought from Amazon using the Comixology app on Android.

I haven't a clue, but i'm going try to help a fellow gaffer out by trying something off the top of my head, could you download the free kindle app on android okay, log in with your amazon account to set it up, test it by sending yourself a free sample okay so far? then when you know it works, buy all the stuff you want by sending it to the kindle app you now set up, then if you dont want the kindle app no more delete and log back i to comixology and they should all be there.

i purchased too many yesterday when i got home lol

btw started with SW:Darth Vader comics and enjoying it a lot, triple
0 and
bee
tee
are the best

i recommend you get SW: Vader Down too

Bought Vision and figured I would just skim it to see if it was any good.....an hour later, It's REALLY good.

I don't understand how to buy Spider-Gwen lol

Do I or do I not need Vol. 0?

I already have the complete Spider-Verse if that makes a difference

If you have her appearance in "Edge of Spider-Verse #2" (IIRC), then you need to buy Spider-Gwen Vol. 1, Spider-Women, and Spider-Gwen Vol. 2 to have the complete set. Spider-Gwen Vol. 0 leaves out Spider-Gwen #6.

Deadpool: The Adamantium Collection is 97% off. It normally costs $200.

Wow, can't pass that up. Thanks for the heads up!

Since nobody answered you on the latter... Spider Gwen is basically a huge "what if", but it's a lot of fun and the art is absolutely fantastic. Definitely worth it.

Is her Edge of Spider-Verse issue contained in the huge Spider-Verse collection? I haven't started reading it yet.

If so, then I'll get the Vol 1 and 2 of Spider-Gwen and Spider-Women. Or do I need Vol 0 as well?

Edit: okay I think I figured out what I need

Edge of Spiderverse
Spider Gwen Vol 1 & 2
Spider-Women

Thanks!

Not a big comics reader but I grabbed Infinity Gauntlet simply because of recommendations from this thread. Anything else I should grab? I am a fan of X-Men, Spider-Man and Hulk.
