Is Carols best build 5/5/3?

her best build is being champed.

when you are facing someone who has the same strongest color as you like do 5/3/5
if you are facing someone who doesn't have the same strongest color as you then 5/5/3

that is unless you are using the black with someone else like oh hulkbuster than 3/5/5 would make the most sense to build up strike tiles the fastest.


basically she has 3 great powers.... that which is best depends on the situation.

in most situations 5 220 stikes and 10k damage for 8 black is going to be a good call.

just like a move that powers up 3 tiles by 400+ when ever a countdown timer goes off would be a good call if you have tiles to power up.

Right now I'm running her at 5/5/3 and using her with IM40 and either Strange for goon nodes (3* Fist would work as well) or PunMax for non-goon nodes (no other champed boosted 4 stars this week). If you can get a couple strikes tiles out and then do a recharge, it's game over.

i've been having fun with

carol + starlord + if (yay 3 purple for lots of black)

or carol + Grocket + iron man 40.

I want to run medusa with carol but alas... can't get my medusa covered right now.

I'd try Star-Lord, but mine is only 4/1/5, so he isn't of much help right now, and IM40 is boosted. My Medusa is probably covered enough to get the job done(5/2/3), but I'm still trying to get a feel for her. Oh, and Carol and Wasp together can get silly if you get the blue fast enough.

SW is seemingly getting unnerfed

Back in February, we made a change to powers that target random Basic tiles to no longer include Team-Up tiles as targets. We have decided to revisit those powers, and have updated a couple of them. This change will be seen in tomorrow's daily patch.

Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff)

Hex Bolt - Can still only target Basic tiles, however random tiles selected around the targeted tile can now destroy surrounding Team-Up tiles.
Arcane Incantation - When the Countdown tile activates, it can now convert surrounding Team-Up tiles, as well as other Basic tiles, to Purple Basic tiles.
War Machine (James Rhodes)

Gatling Gun - When the Countdown Tile activates, it can now destroy surrounding Team-Up tiles, as well as other Basic tiles.

had her as a bonus hero for a while but currently only have carol as one as I really need to get to 5 black to get the teams I am using right now with her to be really scary.

Pulled another Jessica cover today and just said fuck it and champed her. Pulled a Yellow Cloak and Dagger from that, which is fine. I've got enough 2* champs coming due that I won't be pressed for ISO if I have to champ someone else soon.

Leveled up Medusa to 223 as she was at 11 covers. Used her on the Vs. Carnage node in Simulator. Talk about underestimating a character.

So I used my hoarded legendary tokens to try and get another medusa cover, pulled a Coulson yellow with a Peggy bonus giving Peggy 13 covers.

Always having to wait to level guys for other characters. Im about 80k ISO short to finish Peggy off because I dumped a ton into Medusa.

Took me more than a year to get the third color on my 0/5/5 Drax. At least you have a limited pool to deal with the problem.

Fun workable team for this PvE: Switch, Fist and Professor X. If you Switch is at a higher level than Fist, strongest color on the team is pink, which allows you to cast Fist over and over again to create black Match 5s and then hit people with them, and also there's the newly unnerfed Arcane Incantation.

well you only get to fire it off a few times... as neither switch or prof has a black move to spend the black AP so after you hit 12 black your generation of black is dead

At which point you spend the 5 pink AP doing about 6K damage (in my case), and you still have Switch to generate match 5s.

I guess maybe gwen might be....okay for this upcoming cykes one? 11k red punches aren't the worst thing ever, but you really need to get the web tiles out there to make it actually usable

Yeah, that's basically Gwen's best team. Lets you put out web tiles on Yellow, Purple and Blue for Red to use. Would be nice if one of the Venom characters above 1* incorporated web tiles as well.

Oh PVP for sure-not working. There's no defense. But this really only works when either Miles or Gwen is boosted. Just web tiles galore.

Yeah, I actually set Gamora as my Bonus hero just so I could get the Starlord yellow that's at 223 as my next cover, which I got yesterday, and he's still only at 4/2/5. Depending on the order that the covers come in, I'll probably set 3* Star-Lord as my bonus hero as soon as I can so I can get #12, then it's just a matter of how I'm going to get #13 (either save up enough 3600 HP for his next time around in Heroes for Hire or set him as my bonus hero and hope I get lucky, since I'm not one for spending 120CP for a 4 star cover).

It will get faster once you reach a certain point. Just play as many events as you can to progress.

make sure to do deadpool daily quest each day that you can for those 3 star covers.

and only have 1-2 3 star bonus heroes that you are interested in.

beyond that join a semi active alliance. our gafvengers alliance isn't a top alliance but we are active enough in general that every day we get 3 elite tokens (assuming you have shield clearence level high enough to get them but it doesn't take that long to get that) a day which can really speed up a 3 star roster.

Ah, that would explain it. Now that I think about it, as long as you're connect to Facebook, you could theoretically switch between iOS and Android devices, right? There's spare iPads around here somewhere, making them dedicated MPQ machines doesn't seem like the worst idea.

D3 Go! Senior Producer Josh Austin gave us the rundown of the deadliest woman in the galaxy’s new variation and all her awesome abilities.

Marvel.com: A new 4-Star Gamora is slashing her way into the game. What kind of upgrades are we looking at for one of the toughest fighters in the known universe?

Josh Austin: Gamora (Awesome Mix Volume 2) is the only character in “Marvel Puzzle Quest” that can instantly down any character! That and her first ability delivers good damage for a 4-Star character that first deals damage to a target opponent and creates a Countdown tile that continues to deal damage each turn to the targeted opponent.

Marvel.com: Let’s talk about her kit. What is this new Gamora all about?

Josh Austin: Gamora’s first ability is called Deadly Strike and it costs 10 Red AP. Gamora uses her sword to swiftly strike the enemy landing a deadly blow. This power deals damage to [the] targeted character and creates a Red Countdown tile that deals damage each turn to the targeted character.

The second power is called The Most Dangerous Woman and it costs nine Black AP. Here is the power where Gamora uses her sword to take out her opponents permanently! This power creates Purple Attack or Strike tiles and has a Passive that at the start of the turn, if all the Purple tiles are friendly specials tiles, Gamora removes them and downs the target.

Gamora’s last power is called Incapacitate and it costs six Blue AP. Gamora knocks out the enemy, giving her allies an opening. This power stuns a target opponent and has a Passive that whenever an enemy is Stunned, creates a Purple Attack or Strike tile.

Marvel.com: So she can literally take out any enemy, with any amount of health, with The Most Dangerous Woman? And filling every Purple tile, just how easy is that to pull off in a match?

Josh Austin: Gamora can take down any character in MPQ! The fun of this power is finding teammates that will help the player initiate this power. The Most Dangerous Woman power that the player uses AP to initiate already brings out at level one, four Purple Attack or Strike tiles or six, at level five. Team her up with people that remove enemy Special Tiles and/or help stun the enemy when getting the board ready for The Most Dangerous Woman and you have a great chance of destroying the enemy.

Marvel.com: What kind of teammates is Gamora looking for? Obviously her Guardians buddies, but who else makes the cut? I’m thinking she wants people who bring stuns on her side…

Josh Austin: Definitely want people that will help contribute to the events that can trigger The Most Dangerous Woman’s passive. This includes Ant-Man (Scott Lang) with his Pym Particles. There are also characters that remove enemy Special Tiles like Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) and Quake (Daisy Johnson) either separately or even together since they use both Purple and Blue to eradicate Purple basic tiles.

Marvel.com: And how are we building her? Where are you putting the points in her covers?

Josh Austin: For me, I’m still building my other characters, so I’d probably go with 3/5/5 so I could get the most out of creating Purple tiles and that stun with her third power. However, if I had more decked out characters I would go with 5/5/3 so I could rely on other characters for the stun and have that damage that comes from Deadly Strike since it delivers a good amount of damage!

Marvel.com: Is there anything else we need to know about the baddest swordswoman out there?

Josh Austin: Gamora (Awesome Mix Volume 2) goes live on Thursday and is a placement reward for the Hearts of Darkness event. She will be available in the Vault for The Hunt that runs between May 21-26. She will also [helps] conclude the three part Guardians story event called Plan C that will run between May 25 and 30. And finally, her Versus Tournament is called Sworded Affairs and runs between May 25 and May 29.

is a nice stun, with a nice effect.

hard to gauge her other powers but her black move combined with like ant man against some of the bosses should break it.

and another character that places tiles that go off every turn isn't a bad thing as it means she will place nicely with Carol (or drax to a degree)

heck I think Carol + Gamora + grocket could be a lot of fun.

boosted strike tiles at the start and two pretty easy ways to quickly boost them between red and blue.

Got Teen Jean all done and champed, and got my 10-pack, too.

My Medusa is now 4/4/4, but haven't leveled her at all. I also got a Coulson cover, who is already all covered, so I'm just going to try to get him champed in the next two weeks, I've had too many of him lately to keep selling them. Gotta power level him up from like Lv 130. We'll see!
