Na this is like when Disney likes to pretend that any issue with the new Star Wars is because its a "kids" movie and the series was always aimed at "kids", except of course it wasent.
This is like... hmm maybe those Ewok spin off's? Like it's really really aimed at kids directly vs the majority of marvel which is aimed at.... everyone I guess?
Could be wrong but the trailer defintly makes me its got a diffrent target from the usual.

Probably easier on the budget and Fantastic 4 is supposed to be coming right? They probably don't want to have another character with a similar powerset around the same time as the more famous one.
Plus, this kind of strengthens the connection Captain Marvel. The way she uses it reminds me of a Green Lantern which would be pretty cool to have an MCU equivalent.

I still remember this since its not that long ago, and yet he dedicated a large portion of the movies he's talking about here (the prequels) to a slow political drama involving a senator manipulating people to allow him to become a tyrant... I'm sorry but how does this match up?

Which is fine. Personally I have zero interest but it looks like something kids and young teens might enjoy.
It isn't though, the target audience is everyone, it's designed to appeal to as many people as possible. That's how you get those massive box office numbers.

I mean even in the first one a good portion of the run time is around an illegal blockade from the trade federation and the political difficulties around that, which is why the jedi are sent in as mediators. Its not as major as the latter two films but it still has these things that are just not aimed at kids at all... and then yes... Jar Jar shows up and it derails.

I will try not to derail this any further, but its either that or George Lucas is one of the worst creators of Kids Films ever because you dont dedicate your run time to Space West Wing if your making a movie for kids.
However I suppose Star Wars and Marvel and how both franchises are tied together by the hand of Disney, honestly I'm suprised they haven't focused more on making stuff for younger audiences within the marvel space, this could be it, it sure as hell looks like it.

Exactly. Honestly, it will be nice for Peter to have some fellow superheroes around his age, first Kate and now Kamala. Hell, the dude needs some emotional support after the events of his last movie.
Anyway, the Ms. Marvel comics were more light-hearted, and honestly when it did go semi-darker due to tying into the Civil War II event that was happening the quality of the comic slipped during that time, due to A) Civil War II repeating the Civil War 1 problem of having one side’s leader become a borderline-villain (1 being Tony, 2 being Carol) rather than a clash of morally grey sides, and B) the Ms. Marvel book was meant to be uplifting despite the struggles Kamala faced, having a suddenly extremist Carol force her ideals on Kamala did not fit. Thank god Tony is a legit good superhero “dad” to her, honestly the advice he gives her (school and family come first, superhero-ing comes second, and being an Avenger comes third but only if you have the time and don’t wear yourself out) is great.
Anyway, more proof that comics need to let crossovers stand more on their own and stop forcing the authors of the solo series to include elements of the crossover story when they may not fit the feel of the solo book as well as potentially halting other story threads the author was progressing.
But yeah, the Ms. Marvel show should be generally light-hearted in staying faithful to the comics. Hell, Hawkeye was generally lighter than the prior MCU shows and was personally my favorite so far, it was just a fun time for me. But hey, Moon Knight will be darker and looks promising as well, so it’s not like we’re lacking in variety.

It really was. That movie had a very specific audience which is fine but Pixar is usually great about making films for all audiences. My 8 year old girl couldn't make it through it either.

This is how I feel whenever I watch Star Wars, but I feel like the MCU has a bit more of a broad aim. It's definitely kid-friendly most of the time, but it goes beyond that every once in a while, arguably, and feels welcome for all ages.
Not to say I enjoy all of it.

It’s amazing how people have forgotten that comic books in general have always been targeted by kids. Let marvel branch off into something different. I love the representation of having a female super hero movie that is of Indian descent.
