Aside from Sentinel who is guaranteed a spot in the top-tier, the rest of the tier list is going to be very interesting. There are a lot of really legit/solid characters in the game most of them are being overlooked because they just aren't that popular. Felicia is a fucking beast but requires some precise timings on her combos (a bit more than others). Doom is a different beast from his MVC2 counterpart and he can do some really fancy yet legit stuff (you have to aim his Photon Arrays correctly for high damage). Taskmaster could end up surprising a lot of people and Akuma is getting the recognition that he fucking deserves.
 
Man, Viper is a little harder than she looks to play but I won't give up. I'm really liking Dormammu. First time playing everything feels really sensitive but you get used to it over time. I really love this game and it looks a billion times better in person by far. I did try a few games online and they all seemed pretty stable. A few hickups here and there but didn't distract from the play time. The slow downs appear mostly (from what I could tell) after winning a match with the close up on the winning character. Good times! Can't wait to get some matches in with GAF later this week.

Oh yeah, and Chun. Goddess of Rushdown.
 
Got the game. Love it, of course. Surprisingly went on a three game win streak online with my X-23/Sentinel/Deadpool team. I feel a bit dirty that my first online win came via Lv. 3 X-Factor Hyper Sentinel Force spam, though. :lol

Any ideas of who is good to team up with X-23? I'm really loving her, but I'm not sure who to use with her yet. I wish I didn't have to work right now... I want to play more!!
 
Does anyone have the MvC3 TE stick? And if so, would they be able to post pictures of the stick and the box it came in?

Picked up the only copy of the SE from Target on the way to school, was weird being the first customer of the day. BUT I got a free Iron Spiderman toy.

I know your joking, but all you have to do is fucking record inputs and recreate em. Exactly what Halo does and that's 3D with physics calculations for fucks sake. The Japanese developer bar for standards is only as high as the amount of work their willing to put in to maximize profits.
 
Just picked up the PS3 special edition at BB, now i gotta find a in depth guide site for characters and stuff, anyone know any?

also anyone know a good stick that wont break the bank?

I did it for the trophies, tons of scrubs using simple mode in ranked. Jump back and mash TK shot all day for the lulz. Then teleport into obscene combo to crush their spirit.

from what i have heard, AVOID THIS UNIT!! seems everyone has something bad to say about this stick, i would say go for the TE ones or the standard SE ones and mod them as you need.

I have that stick and I like it. No clue how it compares to the SF4 stick though.
Its wireless so you wouldn't be able to use it at tournaments.
 
Tekken stick is fucking terrible.
 
i have the tekken stick. it is better than the standard 360 pad but that's about all i can say about it. for the price its ok i guess, but its not very good. i think it is starting to not recognize my inputs too :(

that's why im looking for a new stick/controller! none of the gamestops i went to had that PDP pad though

I've got the stick as well and I can't say it's bad at all. It's not amazing, but it's not bad.

A good buy at the price with the game.
 
No way, I just settled for the standard edition and picked it up from gamestop thinking I couldn't get the SE anymore. And now it appears amazon is selling the SE again, and because I won't pay tax through amazon it would end up being roughly equal in price. The only downsides of returning being having to go back to gamestop (not exactly close), and having to wait two days for my order to get in.

To return to gamestop and order the SE or to just enjoy what I got? That is the question!
 
Anyone having luck on the SE at retail specifically FRY's or BB? I don't get out till 1:30 ish for lunch but ordered at Amazon as a backup as soon as they got them in stock.

I'm wondering this as well. The Japanese always used to segregate themselves from everyone else in the player match lobbies.

I have no idea if this is possible for player matches in MvC3.
 
FYI ups usually delivers by 5-6-7-8 even 9 PM LOL


I do like UPS because they DO deliver, my delivery guy even has the key to the building to get in, he definitely arrives even if its late. Meanwhile the fedex drivers will call you if you leave a note outside but they don't give two shits and leave a note if they can't get in contact with you.
