Even SFV got a shadow dithering fix just last May, as well as some minor alterations to physics (the P2 boob glitch) & character models (Cammy, for example).

People hoping for graphical upgrades for MVCI are probably dreaming a little bigger than that :p

For whatever reason Capcom is content leaving the HD ports of their older fighters on last gen, which is inconvenient but it makes sense that it wouldn't be a priority. Maybe they can't figure out a way to do it without making people purchase them again.

Well I think they just needed something to get people hyped for infinite so they re released 3. Looks like that backfired on them though.

Well this being a licensed title there's more complications I imagine.
 
Man, we're all going to look pretty silly when the game turns out awesome.

If Haggar is in the game, and if Gamora plays as awesome as I hope she does (because he design is incredible), then I will buy the game.

I think it's because single player dlc development have more costly budget than Season Pass with characters and stages.

Yeah, but that game had a budget to work with. This game isn't going to get support outside of the first season if it bombs. Which by every metric it's looking like a guaranteed failure.

That may be true on many cases but I wonder if Capcom already signed up for few years contract(s) with Marvel this time since they probably doesn't want to make same mistake they did with MVC3. Also Game-as-a-Service contract probably allows them to get specific numbers of years to allow them to enrich the game with many additions.

I wish that we would know how many years they actually sign up for.

The better question is to ask would be if Capcom would actually consider charging for said character pack. You think people are pissed off about downloadable characters now? I can't imagine how infuriated fans will be if you charge for "characters from MvC3." Not to mention that if we were to make a list, it probably would have the same reps that we saw from MvC3:

Magneto
Phoenix

Mind you that I wouldn't be shocked if a few of these would get axed like Sentinel and Phoenix, to which if that were to happen, it would be a good time to bring back Cable or Cyclops. Hopefully we will be proven wrong by Capcom and we will see some nice surprises, but where things stand right now... Well, let's just say that the vote of confidence is still rather low.

Haggar is actually the returning character I'm looking most forward to seeing. I wanna see what crazy new tools he got.
 
Well I'd say the iconic 3 (Wolverine, Storm and Magneto) + Deadpool + Phoenix + my man Cyclops (sucks that he wasn't even considered for the UMvC3's roster, I know Sentinel's is popular but Cyke deserves a spot).

Edit: But if it was characters only I care about then I'd choose Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Firestar, Namor and Quicksilver/Iceman.
 
I like seeing so many people putting Nightcrawler & Magik on their wishlists.

Love those two, and they have LOTS of potential for interesting playstyles too.

Of course we'll likely never fuckin' get 'em in any Capcom fighting game but what the hell

Every sign is pointing to SFV getting the biggest support push in the game's history next year. Unless literally 100 people buy MvCI, I wouldn't worry at all about post-launch support.

That was the first match I've seen where I felt true hype for the match itself, not because it was a new game. Can't wait to see how hype comp matches will be between players who know exactly what they're doing.

Well, we could have this situation to happens if they didn't remove Phoenix's level 5 resurrection.

Phoenix > Dark Phoenix > Soul Gem > Dark Phoenix revived again.
 
I wonder just how much the story mode could give us a look into what DLC is down the line. Even with the model leak, there could be stuff that's just levels and/or dialog that hints at things. Like if a villain went "We'll need Third Energy, that's a pretty obvious sign of Dino Crisis"

Speaking of which, wish they had taken some pages from Namco x Capcom and used third energy as a reason things are combining.
 
Yikes those comments. I didn't think the more hardcore marvel fans were that upset with the comments going off some other videos but I guess I was wrong.

Yes... And the game is only going to launch with 4 of the 6 Infinity Stones too... It feels like at this point, people are looking at MvC:I in the same way some had looked at MN9 and are basically waiting for the ship to crash and burn. Hell knows that Capcom hasn't been doing a good job to reassure us of what they are doing, but with EVO in a few weeks, I think it is safe to assume that we are going to see some more characters (and some hopeful new ones at that).
 
Those interviews look fake as hell and all of them are saying the same thing.

Take a chug of alcohol anytime someone says creative.

You also have to factor Marvels flimsy support with their license. That set back a lot of things with MVC3 and every port.
