I haven't fed those things for at least three missions...

Kelly offered to start feeding them for me. I then proceeded to return to my cabin to see a tank full of dead fish. Little late Kelly.

yep, i found the batch i got from the citadel belly up one time. had to clear them out.

recently kelly offered to feed them for me while im gone, so i think they'll stay alive if i buy any more again.

This game was incredible. Will start second playthrough tomorrow. As someone who wasn't the biggest fan of ME1, I was blown away by this game. One of the top best games this gen, like, top 5-ish. If there is another game this year that is as good as this, I would be amazed. It's already an awesome way to kick off the year. Last time a game this good came out this early in the year was RE4.

Just a list of things ME2 obliterates ME1 at: everything

surprisingly brief list!

So, quick couple questions, I was on the last of the loyalty missions (Thane) and apparently blew it, the mission is over but no achievement though he did get the alternate outfit..bug? When I talk to him he's all depressed about not finishing it but there is nothing about going to a different place.

The other question being in regards to the romance, if you take it too far with one it seems to block all the others? Went to deep (no pun intended) with Miranda and now no one else will do anything until I tell Miranda I'm not interested. I guess that's not really a question but I didn't think it locked you into one.

EDIT - if you guys don't you should really go listen to engineer Donnelly after every mission, some of those lines are the funniest I've ever heard in a game (one after Tali joins you in particular), Joker has some good ones too.

Hacked the game for 9999999 resources.

Worth it? Yes. I dealt with going on monotonous worlds to get every mineral in the first game, Bioware. That stained the experience for me. But I will NOT stain this. Put the worst feature in the first game as a prominent feature in the sequel is stupid.

Fuck it, I'm cheating.
wish i could do that, but im guessing it's a PC thing :(

Why the hell do none of the characters want to talk anymore? I've done 3 main missions and they still have nothing to say since the last time they spoke. Normally there is new stuff each time you finish a mission(even in the original ME).

And in the crew quarters, the guy talking in there, what else has that voice actor done? I think it's a kids show I use to watch, maybe a Nick one. It's driving me crazy!

I estimate that out of the 10 hours I've played, 2-3 have been spent searching for materials ... but I don't want to cheatttt :?

I liked the simplicity of just buying stuff and using the omni- credits thing from the first. The only reason is noted above :lol

If I had the option to cheat for minerals I would. Probing for them isn't fun at all. Oddly it's really the only complaint I have about the game.

Do any of the following have an effect on the story? Are they things I am effecting, or are they wrote plot points?

a) Who I consistently take with me on squad missions

b) My decisions, and therefore other characters reactions within missions

c) Who is there speaking in the cutscene when I return to the Normandy

No bald cap? Lies!
Hmm this is weird when Im on the ship checking squad status and when Im at the squad selection screen it says that Grunt is loyal, but when I get to skill screen and try to unlock Fortification it says that he is unloyal. Anyone have this problem?

Damn, I think I blew it with
Garrus. We must have been really close to intercoursing but I clicked on "I want to be your friend" and Shepard shot him down. Hopefully I can rectify the situation, if not I'll have to settle for Frogman or Jacob. Damn.

a) No.
b) No.
c) Kind of. If you piss someone off in your decision, make sure you talk to the person who you did NOT side with and try to remedy the situation with them.

(a): There are special points in hub worlds where you can click and get a response from your party member, and where you can do that varies depending on who you have with you. Also, sometimes you get a dialogue between two party members. Other than that who you bring has no gameplay effect, doesn't affect loyalty or anything.

(b): People definitely comment on your decisions, and there are special branching choices that make a big impact such as
Samara/Morinth
. Oh, and at the very end
I picked to give Cerberus the Collecter space station and pretty much my entire squad, Cerberus officers included told me it was a questionable decision... Next playthrough I'll blow it to hell :lol

(c): This one is fixed it seems. Always Miranda and Jacob greeting newcomers and giving updates and their opinions, or specific post-mission events/confrontations.

I'm sure someone mentioned this, but I do miss the banter between members like the 1st game. In Dragon Age, they do it a lot! I would love to see more of that in the 3rd.

I guess I just made better choices than youuuu, MUAHAHAAH. Just kidding, it's all good anyways, since we can restart however many times we want.

Fuck. Fuck the fight on

on Insanity.

I have never been so frustrated at a lack of auto-save points in my life.

I hear ya. It took me awhile to figure it out, but hang in there

For those who are trying to get those annoying achievements:

You can complete a part of the achievement, die, and hit restart (A) and still have credit for the achievement.

For example: when fighting husks, they get right in your face. You can punch the enemy away, kill them while they're knocked back, and get credit for "Brawler". Then you can die, hit the restart command, and you'll still have the credit for it.

This is how I got all the specialist/brawler achievements.

Quick question about new game plus: If I'm using my male shepard save, can you change your sex for the second playthrough?
Yes. Seems to mostly just track that you beat the game and carries over the benefits when you create a new game.

It's possible to initiate romances if
your people survived at the end and you continue to play onwards, that's how I did it with Tali and Jack even though I was already with Miranda.

Did Mordin's loyalty quest. I think he's the best written character in the game after all that. Can't wait to do more loyalty quests!

I just completed that one and Mordin is indeed a fantastic character.

Beat it as a soldier and am itching to try it as a new class. Any suggestions as to which class to try next?

Have my eye on Adept or Sentinel atm.

If you're going to play on Insanity, DO NOT choose an Adept.

In regards to the end of the game....after reading some posts...

it looks like some people lost one of the crew at the end...wierd because in my game...Nobody died....could it be depending on the people you choose when the game asks you to make choices on who should take care of what throughout the last level?

In the first part I picked Legion to be the guy to go through the ducts and hack and Garrus to lead team 2.

Then in the second part, I picked Samara to hold up the Bio-Field, Miranda to lead the distracting team, and Jacob to escort the survivors.

I am curios as to what choices others made where in the end one of thier team members died

also, about to "reroll" a new character/class....

Thinking about going with Infiltrator....but I am torn between Geth Shield boost to have a extra shield if things get hairy, or Nueral shock to stunlock people for head shots?

What's so bad with an adept on that difficulty? And is the Sentinel better for that?

The best glitch I ran into... was on Illium. I charged into an Asari and she died attached to my pelvis. She went into ragdoll mode while still attached to my pelvis for a while. Looked hilarious and I'm sure once it happens to the right people they'll ask for it to be included as a feature.

I love how Cerberus is portrayed in this game, and how different it is from the inside compared to what we know about them from the outside during ME1. I wonder if ME3 will show us other organizations of different races trying to learn and take down the Reapers (Cerberus can't be the only one; need my Salarian Special Task Force:lol ).
