Thanks to a very generous friend, I am now in possession of ME3 for PC. Not looking forward to starting from the beginning though.

Is anyone running here Origin in a sandbox?

But hey, at least you'll be able to play at 1080p 60 FPS!

But yeah, having to unlock all that shit again must be painful. One of the main reason why i won't bother with the Wii U version, even if its sold for less than full price.

Gonna have to try out the submission net. Been having a lot of fun with the Batarian Soldier lately, so having more health is pretty awesome. I still think the Turians need something else than just more health, I just don't like them.

Turians powers just suck overall. Add to that no ability to dodge and a heavy melee that isn't quite as good as batarians or krogans and you have a shitty race.

It sucks really, i like the turians in the ME trilogy campaigns. They're a badass race and they look pretty cool too. Also, Garrus.

Other than that, his screwed mobility / HP ratio just doesn't make him practical over much of anyone.

A guy on the BioWare forums successfully 'predicted' both the Blood Pack SMG and Adas Anti Synthetic Rifle, by name, specifically for single player prior to the Firefight Pack announcement.

He's now 'predicting' a multiplayer pack titled Retaliation (or something like that), with promise of Collectors as a new faction, Collector weapons, new enemies for existing factions, and a new character with the bonus power from Leviathan (
Dominate
), either in the pack or near future.

If this were GAF, I'd demand his head if wrong.

Well, they did seem to hint at a new enemy during the last Operation, so it wouldn't surprise me.

If Collectors are really returning, they better use Harbinger's "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL" line again. It's not Collectors without this. Although i wonder what kind of enemies they will have. They don't have a lot of different types, there is the regular Collectors, the Harbinger controlled one, the big ugly ones that spam Shockwave and the flying one who shoot lasers. Husks are part of the Reapers now so they can't have that, unless they give them the exploding Husks from ME2.

That doesn't seem like a lot, although nothing stops them to create new enemies.

Aah, need more leaks! This DLC looks like its going to be the best one yet if its true.

Operation: VIGILANCE (September 7th-9th)

Unexpected attacks have taken out several squads and damaged vital Alliance equipment. We will deploy drones to repair damage and investigate the nature of these attacks.

Another Hint maybe?

Never understood why they didn't at least allow Turians to do the DM Mode-less Destroyer/Quarian/Geth side-hop...

Good thing its "any difficulty". If it was Gold only, it would have been a nightmare. :p

What a fucking stupid shitty awful squad goal. Fuck that. People don't need more excuses not to use consumables.

I'm going to solo Gold with my Krogan Vanguard and not play any more games during the operation. Games this weekened are going to be terrible.

No consumables is... I like that. I've been burning through ammo packs like no other lately.

250k escort missions doesn't seem likely unless they work it into the game or something.

It isn't a squad goal, it's an individual goal. So it shouldn't be that bad.

Just do a Bronze game for the individual goal. It's not like you need consumables to beat it. I doubt people will try it on Gold.

Krogan Vanguard can easily solo Gold without using consumables.

Yes, but that means individuals are encouraged not to use Medi-Gel/Cobra etc*. I've carried enough pubs where people refuse to use equipment. Encouraging more people to do the same is as terrible as.... Mass Effect: Deception.

That's about the worst combination for all involved. One person using something can grief the entire squad. You will never know if you meet the goal unless you solo. Players are still encouraged to be stingy with consumables.

Apparently it's (now/supposed to be) a squad goal, according to Priestly :

He just changed the wording like a minute ago. He was posting clarification that "no one in the party can use consumables."

Yeah that's a bit stupid if you need others to make sure to win the goal. You will never know if Player 2 on the other side of the map used an Ops pack, even by accident.

Think i'll just stick to solo a Bronze game just to be sure, even if soloing Gold with a Krogan Vanguard is possible, Bronze is still much faster.

With the squad goal the way it is, it makes me hate even more the lack of stats after a game. All this confusion could be avoided if we could actually tell if people used shit after the game. But yea, I think I'll just solo a bronze game just to be on the safe side.

I don't host games (weak connection), but can you make private matches? My buddy and I can easily do this ourselves, and I'd rather not have someone come in a ruin it, especially because you can't tell if someone uses and ammo or ops pack.

EDIT:

Wow it is a squad goal

Imma need 3 xbox gaffers to do dis

I can probably help if you play late evening pacific time. My GT is CATxPARTY.

You never created lobbies in the past huh? Yes you can make a private one instead of public.

So we're sure that doing it solo counts even though it's called a "Squad Goal", right?
I think I'm gonna do like Mindlog. Solo once, then I'm out for the weekend.

Ammo Packs is the main reason I switched from my Destroyer to the Demolisher. In Devastator mode, the Harrier goes through clips almost too fast.

Now, the Demolisher?
Infinite Ammo Harrier and grenade spam. Glorious.

As seen on the official thread on BSN :

Chris Priestly said:
Correct. The squad (whether 1, 2, 3 or 4 person squads) cannot use consumables.

I still run around with a Piranha X and Revenant X with Barrage mod on my Destroyer from time to time. Run around the map like its Chinese New Years.

I've got over 200 ammo packs - and that was the perfect class to burn them with.

I run Destroyer with Harrier/Talon (Particle Rifle/Indra also good.) I have to teabag ammo boxes the entire map, but Cerberus makes some good guns.

Played with someone that used Cobras/Medi-Gels during a Platinum match. As much as I complain about bad players there are other players who will go down fighting like champs. During round 5 the host dropped and so did another player. We basically 2 manned 6-10 Platinum.

There are other games to be played, but matches like that keep bringing me back.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Might be easier to solo bronze than try for that goal with public squads.

last time i tried the bolded i felt so embarrassed lol. i joined a gold match on Firebase Jade/Cerberus wave 8 with my Batarian soldier, with every other player already down. so i'm like "OK IMMA DO THIS! I'LL SAVE YOU GUYS" and before i can do anything i'm swarmed by phantoms, had to use all 5 medigels just to get away from them :E there were about 6-7 phantoms during the wave, blasted them and a few Atlases with rockets (of course used all 5 of them)... then i'm finally in the clear, only an Atlas and a Nemesis left (or so i think). i go to heavy melee the Nemesis with the falcon punch and what happens? there was still one goddamn phantom left and she one-hit kills me right after the heavy melee. GODDAMNIT.

i almost cried.

Do you have some tips for the particle rifle (mods, strategies)? I tried it out with Batarian Soldier, Asari adept and Human soldier, yet I can't seem to find its sell point. My idea was to spec those three classes like tanks and throw points into weapon damage upgrade, to keep the PR shooting as long as possible while sustaining enemy fire. Granted I have a somewhat laggy connection and that may be why the rifle's damage is so inconsistent, but I can't seem to make it work properly even when the connection goes smoothly.

I find that the only time the Particle Rifle is worth it is when your target, and other enemies, aren't shooting at you so you can stay out of cover long enough for the gun to do more damage. I have the feeling that the laser do more damage after a couple of secs only when it becomes bigger, which kinda makes it difficult to use it at its full potential on higher difficulties where you often need to stay in cover.

Last second OHKs when you are about to solo the end of a wave are hilarious and heart-breaking.

The magazine upgrade and AP mod are your best bets for maximum damage.

Some players advocate using the PR from cover. In cover you get a large Damage Reduction bonus and you can't be staggered. I prefer to use it from soft cover. The added maneuverability makes it easier to keep the high-beam going with decent accuracy. Whenever possible you want to fire from tall left-side cover. Example.

The weapon is also fairly class dependent. I wouldn't use it on an Adept because power casting interrupts the high-power beam.* The Batarian's Ballistic Blades are pretty close to the same level of interruption. It's fantastic on the Human Soldier. You can fire until it overheats then Adrenaline Rush to bypass the overheat animation. I normally only use the PR with Human Soldier, N7 Destroyer and Geth Infiltrator. Turian Soldier and a few others are great choices as well.

Once you get the hang of it on higher difficulties you can bring down almost any enemy in one clip. Should also be able to multi-kill fairly frequently as enemies stream out of spawns. Example. The only things to try and mange are soft-cover, keep the high-beam going when you can, and try to keep the enemy lined up.

*Exception to every rule - Debuffs turn an already strong weapon into a monster. Warp, Proximity Mine etc.

Another take:
Ashen Earth wrote...

Geth Engineer, Geth Infiltrator, or Destroyer. Use the AP mod, and the magazine upgrade.

Densified ammunition if you dual wield it with another weapon like a Scorpion, or an assault rifle amp V if not. Use Incendiary Ammo IV vs Cerberus and Reapers, and Cryo or Disruptor vs Geth.

Try to avoid the RoF bonuses unless you're frequently using Incendiary Ammo.

I think I'm done with the multiplayer after this weekend =\

I still have a total of 110 things to unlock (counting every of the 10 levels/weapon and 5 levels/gear, not counting promotional stuff) and all I get is useless ammo or armor consumables

It's just ridiculous and makes me not want to play this anymore =\

I rode Mantix X for a long time.
Kishok can be a bit challenging to use off-host. Lag makes it harder to use (projectile travel time.)
Widow was my favorite weapon for a long time.

Out of those 3 I believe the Widow does the most damage.
