Metacritic user reviews are... amusing :D

Bunco Ostrich like Reader commits topical crime when interfered with the reconstituting society effort by means of unlawful use of soporific´s...

In this letter I plan to cite some of Mass Effect 3's more topical crimes and let you, the reader, decide for yourself how to react. Although not without overlap and simplification, I plan to identify three primary positions on Mass Effect 3's bunco games. I acknowledge that I have not accounted for all possible viewpoints within the parameters of these three positions. Nevertheless, I must reach out even to my most ostrich-like readers and show them how I am interested in facts, not in paregoric for Mass Effect 3's spin doctors. That's the sort of statement that some people claim is soporific but which I believe is merely a statement of fact. And it's a statement that needs to be made because Mass Effect 3's biases leave much to be desired. An equal but opposite observation is that I'm tired of the worst classes of abhorrent ratbags there are. Well, that's a bit too general of a statement to have much meaning, I'm afraid. So let me instead explain my point as follows: There is something grievously wrong with those cankered insurrectionists who obstruct important things. Shame on the lot of them! If anyone should propose a practical scheme for carving solutions that are neither obstinate nor cold-blooded, I should be quite disposed to incur almost any degree of expense to accomplish that object. In the meantime, let me point out that Mass Effect 3 likes reconstituting society on the basis of arrested development and envious malevolence. That's the most damnable thing about him. It's also why Mass Effect 3's cause is not glorious. It is not wonderful. It is not good

Expiration date lube

Look, I liked **** from Outer Space, just not enough to make a game out of it. The movie was funny and smart, but this lacks the latter. This game now apparently is strongly for homosexuality while cutting off most heterosexual actions. Apparently its not discriminating if its a sexual orientation that is considered to be the social norm. Also to make it worse this game has the most active breast physics, really making me want to plow the jugs in some of the skin tight suits. All that lube went to waste and now I'm trying to find real pornography before the expiration date on the tube

About 2 hours in so far.

The game feels kind of patched together, animations are wonky compared to the second.

Dialog is pretty bad.

Trying to stay optimistic...

I've been having an issue with the DLC mission crashing at a certain point every time. Specifically, it's when
Shepard watches the vid of the Protheans being attacked, and you get a glimpse of who I think is the party member.
Freezes up and crashes trying to load up combat mode afterwards. I know it doesn't happen to everyone since people are using the character...

Played about 3 hours last night/this morning. Loving it so far.

I love how they finally made good on a penalty for using the Alliance ships to aid the Citadel in ME1. While I now only have 2/3 of the three available fleets, resulting in a dip in Galactic Readiness, I'm glad to see some repercussions there.

I started with a female shep but the way she ... well I kinda miss the right words ... "threw" her arms around I rerolled to a male shep hoping that he would have better animations ...

How big a role does Miranda play in this one?

She was my favorite character and love interest from ME2, so I'll be bummed if it's just a cameo. :(

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.

The PS version definitely runs better than the demo, some hiccups here are there but if you were happy with ME2 ps3 you should be pretty happy with it. Also not as bad black crush as the 360 version.

I am really enjoying the game, visually it is better than ME2 just not the leap from ME1-ME2. Combat is better also, game seems a bit harder on hardcore which I wanted you can't just always rely on hiding in cover. Died a few times already I am starting at level 1 though. I would say the overall game so far is a better improvement over ME2 than Uncharted 3 was over U2 and am a fan of Uncharted 3.

Anyone get their Amazon $10 credit yet?

I got the 360 version from them, but a couple times before with games they added the credit to my account automatically but other times sent me an email with a code.

I'm curious to see what the final boss is. Obviously we won't fight 3-on-1 against a big ass Harbinger Reaper only armed with a pistol and biotics, so... yeah. Unless they put Kai Leng and his deadly toothbrush as the final boss.

DON'T SPOIL IT!

Does the email come at a certain point? I'm about six hour in but no Eden Prime emails yet :(

Uhh. I don't know if it's a certain point or not but I'm not very far. I'm
supposed to be on my way to the diplomat meeting
If you downloaded it while playing then back out of the game completely and see if that triggers it.

Awww, I'm quite a bit past that. When I started my game I wasn't signed into EA and the DLC didn't authorize. I hope that has nothing to do with it even though I've restarted the game a bunch :(

Seriously

I know some people swear by FemShep but the animations have always been a HUUUGE turn off because they are more or less a dude's.
It's even worse for some reason in ME3 because ....well, the animations in general are mediocre and it's sticks out quite a bit more nowadays ...and no Bioware, making them super fast and snappy doesn't fix this

Still can't believe the best movement/walk animation is STILL found in Mass Effect1

You need to be logged in. If you have the DLC installed the game will warn you at start up if it´s not authorized.

AbSomeone has the unable to autorize the dlc problem? I have it with the From Ashes dlc.

Don´t quote me on this, but i think there´s a DLC unlocker floating around on some Swedish nautical enthusiast, peg leg disabled website, at least i saw something like that listed while browsing for some rare ebooks

That's why I'm sort of confused. It didn't authorize the first time but every time since then it's logged in fine with no error messages.

Weird, mine worked without a hitch (assuming i guess, since i´m at work and i left the game at the citadel last night... not at liberty to check the terminal for the email yet).

But ME1 had less animations(no reloads especially) though and the running speed + animation was hilarious(at least on femshep, never played male in ME1).

Havent tried ME3 yet, but from videos, it seems like the ME games will always have funny running animations.

Is there a nice easy way to import my ME1/ME2 face into ME3 ? this shit is pissing me off.

FOR PEOPLE IMPORTING AN ORIGINAL ME1 CHARACTER:

ME3 is incompatible with faces built on the original ME1 editor. The reason for this is while ME2 takes raw ME1 data to transfer your face, ME3 does not, instead using the generated ME2 face codes. Unfortunately when importing a ME1 face into ME2, your character will not generate an accurate code. Thus, when importing into ME3, no face code exists for the game to read.

You can still import your character and all your decisions from previous games, but you will need to remake your face.

Or you can follow the instructions on this website to generate the most accurate ME2 equivalent face code for your ME1 original Shepard. It works very well. There will be some errors, due to the script used to generate the code, but most of these are basic and easily fixable things like hair/brow/iris colour. All the little details, such as facial shape, jaw width, nose height, etc, these will transfer correctly. The website used to generate your code will list what features it reset to default anyway, making it easy to see what you need to fix.

This works for 360 and PC saves.

Does Bioware usually patch ME games? Maybe they'll fix that ME1->ME2->ME3 issue. It seems too big to ignore, especially since a lot of people have been playing since ME1.

Oh wow they didn't fix the walking/running in ME3? In ME2 it was really bad trying to walk around the ship like a normal person.

Nah, they need to patch SWToR first ... oh wait, they just delayed a patch that was announced for like 3 months.

Can't answer your question, sorry. Just soooooooo disappointed by BW since me1 and da1 :(

Okay. I saved during the middle of
Mars
. Impressions so far: Vega is annoying. I'm glad
my Shepard told him to go back and guard the shuttle. Good thinking, Shepard.

I tried multiple times for a custom Shep, both Male and Female, but in the end went with Default. Unfortunately he's Shep to me, and my customs never looked good, they all looked awful. Default Fem Shep is beastly and hideous.

Anyone have a good Shep they made?

The game carried over some stuff for my face. I was able to pretty easily recreate it and I actually look better!

I added a 5 o clock shadow to show some character growth.

That's MMOs for you. Blizzard announce a patch, its released months later. Bioware does the same thing. Nothing new.

Ran into one area of the game where it seems to have imported a wrong decision from the previous games.

I killed the Rachni Queen in ME1. In 3, Wrex correctly referenced the fact that I killed her, but in the shuttle on the way to the side mission, Garrus and Shepard said that we left it alive.
Any one else have that happen?

On the load screen for imprting my ME2 character, it said I didn't romance anyone in ME1, when in fact I romanced Ashley. But I've only played single player for a couple of minutes, (basically long enough to do my import,) so I haven't seen one way or another in-game.

Did you read what you quoted? You don't have to do multiplayer to get the best ending, you just have to do everything available in the campaign.

So... wait, you're telling me that I orderto get the best ending I have to essentially 100% complete the game?! And my decisions in past games count?!

What the frak is this RPG bullshit?!

/sarcasm

Does anyone get errors while trying to buy Bioware Points? I wanted to buy From Ashes but first I need points. I'm getting errors while trying to complete a purchase.
