Have Bioware ever done a poll to see which is the most popular class (and least popular) class in ME1 and 2?

Do it anyway pleaseMan now I'm upset because I remembered the idea that Chinner and I had for a thread but never went through with because it was claimed by Blue Ninja like eight years ago.
(it was going to be set up like a dating sim game thread, with anime portrayals of the characters and esoteric bios like blood types and "moe" quotes)
From what I remember something absurd like 80% plays Soldier.
I don't think they performed a poll, but in-game data submitted by players showed that Soldier was overwhelmingly popular.

soldier and engineer respectively in ME2.
Vanguards got a lot of flak early on because people thought they sucked. That might have driven a few players away.Thanks.
I played as Soldier as well in ME1 because I wanted some familiarity. That said, it was Infiltrator for ME2.
I have to say, I'd have thought that Vanguard would have been right up there.
Not surprised about the engineer though.
What do you guys think about Adept and Sentinel (will be my choice for ME3)?
Thank you!
"83% of players created their own face for Shepard."
That actually surprises me on some level. Molding a character's face can be fun stuff when it works out right, and I always do, but I figured more would go with the default just to jump in more quickly.
Thanks.

Sentinel has been slightly nerves for ME3. Their class specific skill, Tech Armor, now greatly increases power cool down times by 80% when it is enabled. So you gain greater damage mitigation, but at the cost of throwing around biotic & tech abilities often.
I played Soldier & Vanguard in ME1, Sentinel exclusively in ME2 and I think I'm going back to Vanguard in ME3.
I never played as either Sentinel or Vanguard. I like the phasing through object for Vanguard but I really do find the tech armor for sentinel mighty sexy. If I am not mistaken the cool down periods can be significantly cut down if you stick with it.

Its like the second to last upgrade, so its not very quick unless you put heavily into it. Sentinels are great cause they have something for everything. You can take on shielded enemies and mech no problem, but still set up biotic explosions.
Theyre the best class for SP to me because of the fact that you can always coordinate really well with your two squadmates for crazy combos and ability attacks. This is a weakness in the MP because unless you are extremely communicative with your squadmates its much harder to really to set things up and utilize the Sentinel's abilities which arent meant for a loner.
"83% of players created their own face for Shepard."
83% of the people who bought ME2 are idiots.

Count me as an idiot then. My Commander William Shepard looks pretty dead on similar to me."83% of players created their own face for Shepard."

I didn't see it mentioned in the OP, so I'll just ask: is there an interactive comic in 3 so people who didn't play the first two games can make the choices?
There will be something so that you can make the big choices, yes. Whether it's a comic or something else, and whether it will stretch all the way back to the ME1 choices is unclear.
And it does annoy me that people will probably be able to use it to ensure that their entire crew survived the Suicide Mission. Takes away the value of doing everything right in ME2.
Alright, that's cool. I hope you can choose who lived/died at the end of 2.
I don't understand why so many wusses like to dance around with magic powers or let robots do their all fighting for them.
Just shoot them in the head while you're invisible, and they're on fire and/or frozen. And then make a robot do your fighting for you.
So I was going to go rent Mass effect 1 and get a fem shepard run going and I was wondering, if I put the default fem Shepard in 1, and transfer it into 2, when I transfer it into 3, will it look like the new default fem shep? Or will I get a chance to change it?
Sorry, only played the 1st one and I'm about to get into the 2nd one soon

Oh well that's good.
Any suggestions with what class I should put fem shep in? I'm already renegade soldier in my first play through. Trying to go Paragon so I can get best of both worlds. I don't want to be a soldier too, so I want to try something new.
When is the reviews embargo up?
something I've been wondering about
how does finding the cure for the genophage or saving the Rachni queen help in fighting the Reapers? It would take at least a couple of generations for either species to built up the numbers required to fight in a galaxy-wide war, yet the reapers are already attacking Earth. Could it be that the game doesn't actually end with the annihilation of the entire reaper fleet (yeah, right, this is still Bioware we're talking about ), but maybe with just the defeat of the Harbinger or the first attack wave, and Shepard is laying the foundations for the galaxy resistance that will fight in future wars against the Reapers? /speculation
that said, I already can't wait for the inevitable ME4 100 years after the events of ME3, maybe even with a non-human PC!

I doubt you'll be able to choose to specifically kill certain characters, per se. It'll probably roughly match up to the actual choices you had to make in ME2 (so pick who goes in the vents, who leads fireteam, etc), and then tabulate the consequences.
This is all my speculation, though. I am curious how they'll handle the whole loyalty thing.
"Should you help out [Team Member x]? Yes or No?" Rinse and repeat for every crew member?
I chose Zaeed for one of the missions and he failed. :/
