If Thane is dead the Kirahhe saves her and if Kirahhe is dead then I guess the Councillor dies. In mine Thane saved her and Udina was all 'He works for Cerberus! Killz him plz Ashley!'

wow, really amazing how well Bioware implemented the consequences of your previous decision, up until the ending that is :(

What gets me about Kai Leng is that Bioware did a really great job with the antagonist in ME1. Look at Saren, and especially at the encounter on Virmire. He really does a good beating Shepard up that you feel like he's imposing even when she beats him. Just the scene where he comes and grabs her and she's struggling in his grip is great.

Now we have Mr. Toothbrush.

Well, Saren was the Citadel's best agent.

Whereas Kai Leng's Miranda's replacement.

So if the ending was rushed, wouldn't they, as a game developer who takes pride in their work, be ecstatic to go and create the true ending they want to now that they have the time?

Of course they are "listening" and taking everything into consideration, but I would like to hear one actual reason as to why they just flat out would not fix the ending.

As for getting VA's, someone brought this up in question with adding content to SWTOR. Bioware said they had all their VA's on long term contract so they can pull them back to work whenever they need. Also they get their VA's back when they did DLC for ME2 so somehow I don't think it would be an issue.

Guess it just all comes down to $$.

Saren was a pretty intimidating protagonist at first. They kind of weakened him near the end of the game though.

Not for ME2. There were stock lines from ME2 that they put into Overlord and Shadow Broker, like "Move!" or "Watch out!"

But the only VAs they had were the ones specifically contracted for the DLC.

Zaeed?

Kai Leng is this games Jar Jar Binks. You could completely remove his character from the game and miss 0 plot developments or needed information. Instead of magic hands he should have just thrown handfuls of cereal at his opponents.

They have their VAs for SWTOR on long-term contract, not necessarily the ME VAs. But even if they're the same VA (and some of them are), the contract is likely explicitly for SWTOR work, so a new contract would have to be made for ME3.

Pretty much the only people 100 percent locked in stone are Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer.

You can also pretty much guess that Carrie Anne Moss is locked in for one piece of DLC (Take Back Omega), so she might be available, not that it'll do much good.

And if you listen to the ME2 DLC, you can hear that you generally only have 4 or 5 VAs per DLC package. They definitely did not get any of the existing squadmates to do work, for instance.

The only place for a female shepard is the kitchen, amirte?
There IS NO PLACE for a female shep. Shep is a dude. Bioware probably made the abomination known as fem shep so girls could have something to identify with. I guess it's a good business practice.

I meant to add that I wasn't sure if it was the same for the ME actors. This is what I get for posting before I fully wake up.

Is that Omega DLC just pure SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE because Aria talked a lot about it at Purgatory, or was it ever confirmed?

Watch out guys, we got a badass over here.

Prepare to be ravaged. Not by me, though. I agree with you.
OH NO! I WILL BE RAVAGED TOO NOW!

Playing the game with javik now. Can't believe they released this as DLC over some of the utter bullshit that made it into the final game.

Pretty sure it was part of a leaked mission and it was heavily rumored even before release. And since it isn't in the game, people are thinking it'll be dlc.

Tranny shep is best shep.

The synthesis ending was the melding of genders, not organics and synthetics.

God its been a week since I beaten it and it still stings so much. I think it would have been better if the game overall was shit, but I loved my ME3 playthrough up to that point. beehhhhhh..

A combination of things: All the talk from Aria, plus the fact that there was originally supposed to be a mission on Omega.

Add to it that it's an obvious place to stage a stand-alone DLC package and you can see how people are adding 1+1 and getting 2.

*chest bump*
*non sexual completely platonic butt slap you know like they do in sports where its not all gay to do that kind of thing*

I'm noticing a disturbing trend where people are using this"she" crap more and more in reference to Commander Christian Shepard. Cannon Shep is a man, so any reference to him should be in the masculine. Thanks for your time.

You are right, but for the wrong reasons:

Dictionary.com said:
he

pronoun
1.
the male person or animal being discussed or last mentioned; that male.
2.
anyone (without reference to sex); that person: He who hesitates is lost.

I'm still amazed how they managed to completely and utterly fuck up my interest in the entire Mass Effect universe in 10 minutes. My only hope now is that the 'Shepard was indoctrinated' theory at least sounds somewhat plausible (not).

It's speculation, but IIRC the original script had a mention of doing it. It makes sense though there are like four instances in ME2 where you can either help the Mercs or help Aria not a single one of those hooks show up in the game. It stands to reason that they are being saved for DLC with Omega.

I got two main Shepards, one male and one female.

My female Shepard was a thinly veiled reference to Samus, at least pre-Other M Samus. I name her Aran Shepard. Subtle, isn't it? I thought it was a good idea at the time back with ME1. That reference got a bit blurred by ME2 as I had picked Vanguard for her class in ME1. The "biotic class that can still shoot a gun" in my mind. Then ME2 gave Vanguards an insignificant little upgrade called Biotic Charge. And in ME3 it's even worse with Nova. Guns are just an accessory now. Trading an Assault Rifle for a Shotgun for a Pistol, which is only really there so she can point something menacingly at her foes without blowing them all up.

Ruthless to her foes, friendly towards her friends. Giving the morality system the finger and running perfect games despite never really committing to either side. I did keep one Samus-ish thing about her, though. If it's even slightly possible to blow up the enemy, she will. Sovereign, the Geth, the Collectors, the Batarians, and right at the bottom of her "Races I need to blow up" list is "Reapers".

At least the ending will give me that option. The starchild can talk all he wants about alternatives, Aran Shepard is already shooting at the red one. Blow up ALL the Reapers! And relays! And Geth! And EDI... oh. Sorry about that one, EDI, but you DID try to kill me once, so it's okay. Shepard wants big boom!

She may or may not have gone mad over the course of the games, haven't quite decided yet. Vanguards are a bit nutty by design...

Ooh, so that's where the rumor about Aria being a temporary squadmate originated from? Guess she will be in that DLC just like Liara was in Shadow Broker.

Great, i love Aria. Best Asari ever(sorry Liara, you're #2!)

lol I got attacked by at least 50% of Gaf when I made a similar statement like this a while back. I never knew how near and dear dude gamer's hold fem shep.

Well, that and your comments a few weeks ago about how women aren't warriors, belong in the kitchen, etc.

Aria is just pissed off criminal boss person. There's no personality or depth there whatsoever

Or you know, half the population are ladies, maybe guys wanna play as a lady shepard, what does playing as a female in a game has to do with the sex of the player. What makes a femshep such an abomination to have? Powerful women makes you :lol, why? "Oh a LADY can never do that!!!"

What's the point though? Even if Omega does not blow up when the relays explode, the ensuing chaos created by the events at Earth will most likely lead to some sort of civil war where everyone dies on Omega when the realization that all their supplies are now cut off.

Also seeing Omega was right next to a relay, why wouldn't a Reaper just pop in, laserbeamofdeath it and continue on? There's no way the merc fleets around there would be enough to stop one.
