Mass Effect 3 SPOILER THREAD: LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE

By actually introducing him in 1 or 2, or hell, even the start of 3, showing things happening with him as catalyst. Not just have a few stupid "cool" rigged fights with him as the ultimate Mary Sue and Shepard as a bumbling idiot. Actually giving him a real personality would be nice too.

He was introduced in the books though, but i agree that it comes out of nowhere if you didn't read those.

Just like I said. Complaining because of lack of epilogues. That warrants whining incessantly for weeks.

According to people here none of that matters.

Invested emotionally too much and snapped when didn't turn out how you wanted it.

I'm not complaining about epilogues, I'm saying that the ending was shit and there was a lot about it that just didn't make sense.

If you read anyone's arguments or watched any of the youtube videos explaining why then you would understand.

Feel free to read through this.

lol no

I wasn't even emotionally attached since I've only played each game once but I still stared at the screen during the ending since I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was just so bad and didn't respect the series own internal logic at all!

i'm wondering who will be crazy enough in 5-10 years to recommend to players that didn't play mass effect,to waste hours of their lives in 3games to achieve nothing and see an ending shorter than a typical shooter......

in 5 years the gfx will be dated(me1 already looks a bit dated)and you should either play that-gen games,or real classics, but not m.e.
Let's be honest: they're probably in the better position. They're not waiting 4 years to see how it all ends, they're playing them in rapid succession (or their own leisure anyway) knowing the ending was generally reviled.

And... yeah, I might be able to recommend them, just because they ARE still very strong games even if the ultimate ending was limp. Honestly the Reaper conflict ended up being one of the least appealing parts of the universe anyway.

For like half an hour:

:-(
I'd love to see how many changed their opinions after finding out just how different the three endings were. If they were reasonably distinct I'd just consider them "ok, somewhat limp" rather than an outright lame ending for the series.

Mass Effect 3 Spoilers |OT2| Space Jesus Resurrection

Only if you pay us $15.

Also the Walking Dead Ads for this is hilarious. All the praise for the game and IGN's talking about the ending being "perfect" was lol.

What if Grandpa Aldrin's just taking his stories from the Shepard Bible, which, most like our holy texts, is a collection of symbolism-heavy tales that bear little resemblance to the actual lives of their protagonists (when they're not downright fictional)?

Paragon Ending: Shepard was killed when the Crucible fired, and the nonsensical vent kid business was but the creation of Shepard-praising zealots. Shepard becomes the messiah of a new religion.

Renegade Ending: Shepard fires the Crucible, applies some medigel, gets into a pod and gets back to earth, making up the vent kid crap to get fools to worship him, and is crowned God-Emperor of the Sol system.

I like the sound of those speculations.

Guys...I've hit the acceptance stage.

As much as I hope that Indoctrination was true, and hope we get some type of epilogue or better ending, I've accepted we're not.

This was the end of one of the greatest trilogies of the generation. And it was shit.

**sigh**

Realistically, the OT title shouldn't reveal any spoilers for those who haven't finished it yet :/

Defenders of the ending

Explain:

no and i hope they don't because at this point it's too entrenched in everyone's minds

it'd be like releasing dragon age II: good edition
Dragon Age II good edition would be something I wouldn't mind having. :/

Mass Effect 3 Spoilers |OT2| IN THE MIDDLE OF SOME SPECULATIONS. HOLD THE LINE.
Fixed.

Mass Effect 3 Spoilers |OT2| Space Jesus And The Amazing Technicolor Relays
Fixed. I like this. I like this a lot.

I find it funny how at first it seemed like ME was going to do right what Xenosaga attempted, an epic space opera RPG series. Instead it seems to be an inversion, which STILL means ME did more right than Xenosaga did, but Xenosaga managed to vault forward in quality for the final installment and have one helluva spectacular ending (that, incidentally, was even bleaker than ME's) whereas ME3 remained consistent with ME2 then fell flat at the end.

They are still in the Solar system and I doubt there is even that much human food left on ravaged Earth. They'll find a way, that is the least of their problems.
So no food for humans and no food for the alien races? How is that among the least of their problems?
