Is it crazy if I want a time travel spin off? A team of badass soldiers travel through time and space.
The Prothean Cycle, The Rachni War, The Krogan Rebellion, The Geth-Quarian war, the First Contact war,Ressource war on Rahkana, the Yahg War (future war!).

Speaking of the Yahg, I was so fucking annoyed when they teased you with that escaped one, which proceeded to run off Sonic-style, to never be seen again. I wanted to fight it.

ok,with me1 probably they didn't even know if they would do a trilogy.

but after they decided they would do me2/3 those 2 should be integrated better and be bind towards the final ending,among with less weight from me1.

why not make them standalone games then? like black ops ?
or the sheep should be better to be fooled that they should buy me3 after 2 for the mass effect trilogy to be whole as a package?

I don't see the series not being road mapped / planned out as a bad thing. It allowed them flexibility in story and design. And say what you will about nit picky gripes, as a whole, the series is great. None of the flaws or issues can change that unless you specifically want to hate it / have an agenda. There's nothing wrong with not deciding it early. However, for a game like this where the ending was going to be extremely important, the planning should have been done before the game started (or early in the development process). They shouldn't have been scrambling to get it done a couple months before release. I understand that most writing isn't done that way, but some level of planning should go into a story that is planned to have a definitive end. This is one of those cases.

In my opinion, that's just poor planning. Shouldn't have been any head banging if it was mapped out correctly.
 
Yeah, it's impossible the plan everything, specially if you are at the mercy of unknown factors like financial success, or in the case of TV and movies, even availability of actors. But after the first game, Bioware should have really had an overall sense of direction at least. It's a shame, the secondary writers did a very good job of closing several side-plots, but the final product was subject to lack of vision of the higher ups, who clearly decided at the last minute they wanted a "profound" ending.

I still don't know how anyone thought this was an good idea. Maybe they were overreacting to the criticism on the second game ending (the human reaper boss) and that's why decided not to be "video-gamey"... but "Lots of Speculation from everyone" as your motivation? Eeeck.

That's what I thought as well. I remember when LotSB just released and there was talk about the Yahg being a brand new species in ME3. Instead, we actually got was a Yahg in a cutscene for barely 2 seconds.

But think about it, man. If we'd fought that Yahg then there would only have been twenty-nine identical Atlas fights in the game.
 
I really though the Brutes were Reaperised Yahgs until I read in the art book they were Krogan (also thought the Cannibals were Krogan and not Batarian). That Yahg was such a tease.

Are they really Krogan? I could have sworn they were big Turians. But then I guess the Marauders are Turian...
 
Why couldn't Miranda tell us where the Illusive Man's base was?

Kai Leng wasn't much of a boss. Ignoring the fact that all I could think was "what you gonna do, eat my cereal?", Bioware went a little to realistic on how a gun outperforms a sword. He never even got close to me.

Also didn't like how emo everyone went after Thessia. Boo hoo, you had one setback after a roll of incredible victories. We still know who has the Prothean VI and we can track them. Thessia was going to get crushed even if Kai Leng never turned up.

Codex says they're Krogans with Turian heads (if I'm remembering correctly).

You'd think they'd move the base or something, but that's not explained.

On that note, do we even know if the final decision from ME2 had any impact whatsoever in ME3? I think I may have gotten a single line of dialogue on Mars when the Illusive Man referred to me keeping the base. I don't even remember anymore.
 
Doesn't the description of the Cerberus base in ME3 say something about the star being holographic?

You need 1000 EMS more to get a 'good' ending if you saved the base.

He references the decision in your first dialog with him. Other than that one line, it (and most of your other choices) have no gameplay effect whatsoever
 
I just beat the game last night. I am now catching up with the ending explanations/theories. I didn't quite understand what was going on at the time, I didn't even notice The Illusive Man was showed with the Blue choice and Anderson was the red. I chose green not fully understanding and regret that now
