I don't get this mentality. If a large proportion want Conservative government then why is that wrong. Why is it a failure just because your party of choice hasn't won?

The hyperbole in here is hilarious. I'm no fan of the Tories but all this talk of the UK imploding is ridiculous.

I don't understand the tory hate, there's some shit admittedly, but that applies to all parties.

I'd take them over Ed Ball's having any financial responsibility over this nation

And think of it this way, it could have been tory /UKIP
I don't know if there's maybe a legitimate defence for this cos I haven't seen discussion of it outside of gaf, but when I saw this a few months ago it stuck out to me as an unquestionable reason to hate the Tories regardless of your feelings on headline issues like economic policies

As I said the tories are far from perfect, but I trust them with the economy over the other parties - the shiniest turd if you will.

The Institute of Fiscal Studies rated the Conservative manifesto as having the greatest difference of the major parties - 2.3% - between what was achievable and what they were claiming.

The Conservatives have promised to find £12bn of welfare cuts. When asked to detail these cuts they have thus far refused to answer. George Osborne was asked this question 18 times and refused to answer.

The slow rebirth of the British economy is mainly because of their ideological drive towards austerity. In the last months under Darling the economy was on the road to recovery. Osborne sank it again and was only bailed out when the Olympics came knocking.

You can claim they're trustworthy, but you're factually wrong.

I'm going bed. Seriously, we have failed as a nation if the Conservatives win.

Why? We are a nation of ''fuck you, got mine'', a lot of people simply couldn't give a shit about others struggling. How often are people without a job labelled dole scum or scroungers? Quite simply as long as everything is good for you why change?

Lib Dems won't be in the coalition because if they are down at 10, Clegg is gone. They can't actually join. Probably going to see a Con minority.

Thing is though, this election has SO MANY unprecedented factors that the polls could be way out.

I'm still harder than a full bottle of Rose's lime cordial though.

Extraordinary rumours swirling - most incredible is that Tories think they might have got Balls in Morley and Outwood. Surely not.

Try being poor whilst the Tories are in power, then you understand why people think they're utter cunts.

Try working in any kind of civil service, or having to rely on the civil service. In the past five years the civil service has been decimated by cuts. Cuts which the country didn't need. Cuts in the place of spending which has been repeatedly proven by economists to be the only way to fix the fucking economy.

So please, if you don't understand the Tory hate, feel thankful that you're privileged enough to not be the target of their ire.

Also if you're in lower paid or public sector work. Safety standards and wages go down and turnover up. People are worth less under Tory governments.

US style religious right wingers from Northern Ireland. They are the reason NI still doesn't have legal abortions, same-sex marriage, etc.

A Tory / DUP / UKIP coalition (possible on that exit poll) is the stuff of nightmares beyond nightmares.

:\

That sounds... yeah, population of Scotland is going to BOOM. We can live in the Highlands, I guess.

he fallout of this is just terrible. labour right back to the drawing board for another five years, instability of a very fragile tory led government dominating headlines, the relationship with scotland a total disaster, crosby approach to politics vindicated, the fun of an eu referendum.

i hate everything

That's the absolute worst outcome than can happen. It would be like US republican levels of evil.

EDIT: And we're probably getting an EU referendum in 2 years, woo bloody hoo.

I do remember that, and it is admittedly wrong, my mp is one of the ones who voted not to reveal as well.

He's super far right compared with Cameron even, and while this is a horrible thing, it isn't enough to swing my vote.

Here's to hoping that bottle goes flying off the table (as it did in your video) when we find out that the BBC exit poll is indeed totally incorrect. :D

My lid is tight and my floor made of fake wood. Bring it on!

Man, this bald fuck thinks Farage has killed it. But then, he would.

If Balls has really gone then... just... #dead.

Surely that's basically a non-partisan reason for celebration, no?

I know people who are, it isn't fun in any economic climate. Hating on the party in power is always going to be the thing to do though.

As I said the tories are far from perfect, but I trust them with the economy over the other parties - the shiniest turd if you will.

My main issue with the complaints is the lack of eloquence behind them, people need to take step back, calm down, and think about what they're saying.

people don't believe in austerity

it's as a simple as that.

Cannot wait for the EU referendum now. Decision making would be incredibly facilitated without the UK.

No, I absolutely don't want the UK to drop out.

That's fair enough, but just to clarify my point, I'm not saying that that specifc issue is a reason not to vote for them, but that it demonstrates they are not morally good people; that is the reason not to.
