I think it's pretty obvious they do all want out now. Have you seen the predicted results in Scotland? And now with five years of a Tory majority looming?

Well, that's CyclopsRock's point - it may be a mistake to assume that all the SNP support would automatically translate into support for independence. I'm admittedly a Londoner, but I'm anti-independence and I'd vote SNP if I could.

everyone is acting on here like we are doomed by getting david in, how would labour have done any better ?

Scotland have always voted left wing. Conservatives have never had a chance.
SNP are winning all the seats.
They want independence.
Another Tory government even with the entirety of Scotland not wanting it.
Excellent case for independence.
Goodbye United Kingdom.

The referendum was close and was held in the context of a very different political climate. It would be a mistake to suppose that what applied in mid-2014 still applies now.

They may well get all the seats - and half the votes.

If there were 21 almost-evenly-popular parties in a constituency, would it be possible for the winner to still lose their deposit? I guess it would, technically...

Kilmarnock:

Scot Lib Dems: 789
Scot National Party: 30,000
Scot Labour: 16,362
Scot Tory: 6752

Whoa.

Watching CNN, the only channel easily available in Korea, and the male reporter is loving it. Don't know his name, but he mentioned he lives in the same area as D.Cameron and he's practically salivating at the exit polls.

Is it just me, or do the BBC seem massively biased towards the Tories tonight?

It's utterly depressing what the future of our country is looking to be :(

Lib Dems have been absolutely fucked over. Hope they recover soon under the new leadership that seems inevitable now.

Respect leader George Galloway has been reported to police for allegedly breaking election law.

The Bradford West MP is said to have retweeted his party's own exit poll before voting ended.

Bradford Council's returning officer made the report to police, according to BBC Radio Leeds.

It is against the law to discuss voting while polls are open, under section 66 of the Representation of the People's Act.

If they go all the way down to 10 seats I think the following leadership challenge will spell the end of the party.

It's not that hard, the country is in better shape at the end of this government term than it was 5 years ago, whatever policies have been said and promised this is hard proof, at least for me.

I hate this line - it might be in better shape, I'm personally better off. But poor people, sick people, the unemployed are being fucked over. I don't get why people are so short sighted and selfish.

If we end up leaving the EU, whether Scotland leave the UK or not (save yourselves!) - we'll end up a fucked up, nasty little tax haven for big business. Where the average do OK, the rich get richer and richer but the poor get fucked upon fucked.

Pretty galling to find out that even though I've been taking the piss out of Ed Miliband for three years I've still overestimated him
