I'll be honest, playing Luigi's Mansion on the platinum box that could, I never imagined any game within its lineage would sell over 300000 in Japan in Week 1... then again, I never imagined there would be another Luigi's Mansion so...!

I'm not so sure. Certain models have obviously sold out at retailers over the last few weeks so it could be fairly stable or even get a boost if retail has been restocked.

The first day of Golden Week is April 29th and the last day is May 5th. (Although the May 5th holiday will be celebrated on May 6th as the 5th is a Sunday.)

Golden Week sales should be from April 29th - May 5th (Monday - Sunday) A slight bit into the following week as well since the 6th will also be a holiday.

In 2013, weekends are placed in a way to create two separate holidays of three and four days.

First long weekend is on April 27, 28 and 29.
Second long weekend is on May 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Vita holding pretty strong this week. That's probably the most noteworthy thing. Both LM2 and OPM2 sold about 300k, and both had shipments of about 500k. So that's on par, but LM2 will probably outpace OPM2 in a week or two.
