Many may have suspected it but now science has confirmed that men who take lots of selfies are a bit um different.
Men who use Instagram-style filters to add that certain je ne said quoi to their snaps are the most extreme.
The study at Ohio State University found that men who post endless selfies were more likely to have certain, ah, unwanted mental traits, such as psychopathic behaviour.
People who used filters to edit shots scored even higher for anti-social behaviour such as narcissism, an obsession with ones own appearance.
What this suggests about the mental health of many of our favourite celebrities, we can only speculate.
Assistant Professor Jesse Fox, lead author of the study at The Ohio State University, said: Its not surprising that men who post a lot of selfies and spend more time editing them are more narcissistic, but this is the first time it has actually been confirmed in a study.
The more interesting finding is that they also score higher on this other anti-social personality trait, psychopathy, and are more prone to self-objectification.
