This guy was heading Xbox Games Studios well before he was the Boss of all Xbox… this helps us to revisit their software output over the last two decades and understand it better ;).

It's had some pretty positive buzz in the OT, but I completely wrote off the sequel having finished the first game and remembering virtually nothing about it.

This sounds like a far more productive use of one's time than it is to find the logins for your 2017 sock-puppet account in order to stand guard for Microsoft.
 
It's the week of thanksgiving in the united states...aka the start of the holiday shopping rush. Of course stuff is on sale.

This game landed worse than Bloodlines 2 because nobody could even be bothered to hate play it or talk about they could have saved it by calling it Vampire the Walklines or something.

Oh, Reddit, yeah.

You have to make choices. It's like they want you to commit. Modern gaming is not about committing to any decisions. You cant fix the choices either. I tried save spamming but I lost track of everything and maxed out saves in like 4 hours. Why would I want to buy a game where what I do has consequences I cant fix?

Never seen so many stans for a failing brand. That criticism bait, is just to tasty for them to resist.
 
Haven't played this yet, but recently started Avowed and really like it. Exploration and combat is on the mark.

People don't seem willing to pay full price for games on Gamepass, with only a few exceptions. Even Expedition 33 was sold at an affordable price and had GOTY reviews behind it since day 1.

OW2 looks like a fine AA game, but maybe $49.99 or even $39.99 would've given it a chance to get some buzz and made more money for MS.

Every single RPG they made performed worse than the first one.

They rushed PoE 1 out even though the writing team said the script was not ready. According to upper management, PoE 1 script was good. Chris Avellone was the last good writer left in Obsidian. After he left PoE 2 bombed and Obsidian since can't write good RPGs.

ahh yes, good RPGs from a studio who does not known how to write good RPGs. Maybe good enough for Game Pass enjoyers. Kingdom Come Deliverance I is what we call a good RPG.

Price didn't match quality, while i like the 1st game and would play the 2nd, TOW 2 was never worth 80 quid and it was a stupid thing to do and try and charge that much, even the 10 pound reduction didn't help, greed ruins all.
