Well he does recruit Solid Snake so if a MG1 & MG2 remake ( or mix them into one game ) were to happened Kaz would definitely get a lot of spotlight and Frank J ( Grey fox only dude with the codename fox ) will also be shown! Along side the return of Campbell. I have feeling grey fox will appear in some fashion or recruited by big boss could be at the end of the game for all we know. I wanted to say something interesting that kaz said in phone conversation in PW but that would be a spoiler for one the of guys playing it here.
Only thing that sucks is that if we get another solid snake game we won't have otacon ( he's not born yet ) ;/ the bromance will be missing. Nevermind the bromance would solid and fox. So Huey would be on the "evil" side of things with BB.

Yeah, MGS 2 is hard to understand even IF you played 1 beforehand. Also isn't 13 kinda young for Revengeance

I think playing them in order of release is the best thing. This way one could appreciate just how far the game jumps in terms of the technical aspects with each sequel.

Thing is this generation of young gamers is a problem, due to fact it's no longer a blue ball running around collecting rings ( Sonic ) graphics are so insane it's hard to digest everything. I remember loaded my first ps1 game was shocking can't imagine TPP.
First console I got was a sega genesis btw.

Not really, if parents educate a kid on what's real and not by having a lengthy discussion with him/her then it isn't in the grand scheme of things. I bet you most people here played inappropriate games for their age and watched inappropriate movies(not porn) for their age and they turned out just fine, he won't understand half of the shit anyway or atleast I didn't when I played MGS1 at age 8. I just thought Gray Fox was the best thing in the game.

Likewise (Mega Drive Sonic 2 bundle for my 5th birthday (1993)). MGS1 came out in 1999 here and I never got it new. Would of been about 1-2 years after so I was around 12/13 when I played it.
After that I never touched MGS till Twin Snakes on Gamecube. Even though I enjoyed the games I went the Dreamcast/Nintendo route, keeping me away from the franchise.

Fist bump* I had that classic sonic 2 poster those were the days. I played SF, streets of rage 2, Maximum Carnage and T2:arcade like no tomorrow one of my goats games of all time.
When I got the ps1 I remember I had: loaded, nba jam , sfa2 and ridge racer.. Mgs1 was much later I remember everyone buying guides for that game mad secrets everywhere.
Thing is, some these new games get very graphic, I mean sometimes I'm sickened by some of these things going on in new games.
I do hope that your brother plays these games voluntarely, we've gotten some of these "I want my boy to play the same things I did" threads here and that just seems like forcing your own experiences on someone else just because you're nostalgic. Not trying to blame you or anything, but thats just something to keep in mind.

I don't think MGS is that bad for a kid. Maybe he won't really understand much of the historic and philosophical references, but that's it.

I'm planning on buying a Ps4 by march when bloodborne comes out! I'll get an xb1 when gears is close to release.
Currently I'm multitasking between psp (modded), vita , ps3/x360. Damn I need to finish KH2.5 now that I remember ;_;

Ah, man, I feel ya - the Vita is probably my favorite platform. Can play almost every Metal Gear and every Persona on the go; doesn't get much better than that! PS3 still going strong, too. Good luck with that! Probably going to take you a while. :-D But yeah, man, add me if you get a chance (especially if you plan on using your current PSN account on PS4). Gonna Fulton dat ass when TPP is out.

He was rumored to star as Solid Snake and Was attached to a previous mgs draft I think.
There's a YouTube video where he was asked how many hours he logged in and he responded in a sort of rude way lol bale he's my favorite actor though. I think BB suits him better.

I had played the fan translations of Metal Gear 1 & 2 and MGS 1&2 (at least the tanker chapter demo) by the time I was 13. Oh, and countless hours of porn. Countless.
Edit: then again I had also tried booze, pot, cocaine and sex by 13... I may not be a prime example lol

I could work if they split it into 2 parts, there's tons of exposition, especially most of the death scenes and the meeting of hostages, that could be trimmed or cut. Also, most gameplay sections and the PAL key parts could be skipped entirely, just have Otacon reveal all the blackmail stuff in 1 go.

That is me indeed. It's Real Pic January. That's a picture of me and my daughter from a couple years ago. It's a long story, but my ex is a cheating whore. When I found out and confronted her, she filed false charges on me, I got locked up, and she left the state with another guy and my daughter. I'm flying to see her next month. It'll have been close to a year since I've seen her.

Thanks dudes. Believe it or not, Metal Gear GAF provided me with a great deal of escapism at the time. I wasn't even a member, but reading all the discussions about the Phantom Pain helped me through.
