It gave me a massive blue balled Metal Gear boner, and OP left me hanging. Ugh, oh well at least we will have more in the coming weeks and on 6/9 and honestly after all that silence it's nice to have something.

Started MGS2 yesterday. The Tanker completed.
The scene where Liquid Ocelot starts up the Metal Gear Ray i fucking awesome!
Flicks some switches, cockpit closes, lights go up, Ray is waking up with all those sounds!

Yeah, I couldn't get a grasp of them super well for a long time but in no way did I ever think they were "clunky." I just thought I was dumb. This guy seems inflammatory.

That worked for me, I was actually under levelled and beat him on my 2nd try doing this.

I mean, hey, this strategy your using worked same day for Bloodborne. I'm fairly confident it will work again. (Brau threatens to buy you things and the only way to stop him is to beat him to it.)
I don't I have even tried since you first time me! My controller got all brokey and I didn't want to put up with the gummy controls. And apparently I also didn't want to fix my controller until now.

Is that true? I knew there was a ton to experience but I figured I had the general gist. What progressively gets better? Enemy variation? Setting?
It definitely feels more open after that fight.

Every area has its own unique enemies.
Some from previous areas are still there but every consecutive area after New yarhnam introduces new enemies that force you to constantly change your play style.
The setting changes but generally it has the same theme, the hidden towns and areas introduce a completely new art direction as well as some challenging hidden bosses.
Then there are the chalice dungeons which I recommend giving a try before you level up too much.
The first dungeon is a set dungeon that everyone gets, after that every dungeon is randomly generated and each "level" of the dungeon has a boss.
These dungeons will take what you thought you knew about the games enemies and completely change everything.
They are insanely challenging!
Obviously you are introduced to new, more exciting, more powerful weapons and there is some fun to be had when you summon other players (or invade their games).
There is one (two if you find the nightmare realm) area's where if you don't kill a specific person then you are constantly invaded by other players and you can even be invaded by three at a time.

Starting with MGS3 I had spoiled myself on every single game prior to it's release, I hope I can hold back this time.
Depends what you mean by getting your avatar as those guys.
I hope this is totally not the case. The hospitals is one of the few things i know about TPP that i am looking really forward to. I hope they don't talk details about this.
