HURT ME MORE. MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE AGAIN!

Well, I'm 100% on board as long as Platinum is doing it again. I LOVE the original. I've only played through it once, but I may just start up a second playthrough soon since I have heard it has newgame+

Gray Fox could be cool and all that but I really want them to bring back Solidus (it's fucking Metal Gear, anything can happen). I want Raiden vs Solidus round 2.

2 out of 3 of their 3rd party exclusives are coming to PC. If they let Capcom but SF5 on the PC I don't see why they won't let this on as well.

Capcom's teams are familiar with PC gaming, and they have a dedicated game engine. On the other hand, Platinum games are struggling with optimizing console games; they are still using fixed-time steps and their coding is a mess.

Plus Sony has been pretty chill with PC, even if it's exclusive on consoles doesn't mean it won't hit the PC.

True! It would be cool if this trend is indeed the case with Sony's future third-party exclusives (whether this one be or not)!

MGS2 Raiden > Cyborg Raiden

Sad they had to make him a cyborg so people would think he was cool.

While I agree, Cyborg Raiden threw a fookin' MG Ray into the air and rekt its shit, so... he's pretty OK!

Daily reminder that this guy barely had any cyborg enhancements. In fact, besides the exoskeleton that encases his human body, only his right arm was cybernetic.

And we never saw him die.

Even if he died, nothing some cyborg enhancements won't fix

I wouldn't put all depictions of cyborg Raiden under the same category - I found the MGR incarnation to actually be much closer to his MGS2 persona, overacting aside, with MGS4 Raiden occupying a separate, much worse niche.

Which means this was completely organic as well.

And it probably isn't even being exaggerated by the armour all that much - from what we see from his chest wound, the exoskeleton itself is incredibly thin; the undersuit even more so.

Didn't human Raiden kill 20...?

He will fucking return
just like Vergil.

So

I got this news in the middle of a uniform inspection

"OHHHH SHIT-

TIME TO LEAVE THEM ALL BEHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND"

Everybody stared at me

OH GOD YESS!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for this day. I need more MGR in my life! I'm hoping they set the game in between MGS2 and 4 like the original Rising was supposed to be. I'd like to see that story.

I'm actually excited. All of Rising's failings can be addressed with time and money, which I'm sure Platinum will receive this time around given the (surprise?) success of the original.

Human Raiden rolled with Snake, killed a fuckton of RAYs, and slew Solidus in a sword fight. He was probably the Marcus Fenix of child soldiers. The seeds of his badassery were sown well in advance of his acquiring cyborg apparatus.
