What's the real Metal Gear Solid 3? Your mission, Jack, is to infiltrate the various versions of this 2004 masterpiece and explore its changes throughout the years, for better and for worse.

From the iconic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, released on the PlayStation 2, to the updated Subsistence release featuring that all-important third-person camera system, as well as Snake Eater HD with its lack of Guy Savage and crispy high definition textures, to the bonkers Snake Eater 3D port for the Nintendo 3DS, and the upcoming MGS Delta: Snake Eater.

What are the differences between all versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater? And is there a better version to play compared to the rest? Time to find out!

What's complicated about it? MGS was fixed camera, Subsistence was 3rd person, HD Collection is the game upscaled to PS3 resolution, 3D is crap and delta is a full remake to state of the art graphics.

The irony, that when the HD collection came out there were no such "frame-rate issues".....now when you've got a state-of-the art engine in play, then for all the bells and whistles it brings, it still falls somewhat short..
