Nice. How'd you do it? I'm nothing without my tranq lol.

You can shoot the satellite dishes from afar with the assault rifle. Fire in bursts. Get it from the 2 guards at the outpost near there. They are easy to sneak around cqc.

I am sure there is an even more effective cheese method.

I don't even want to play this game anymore. I'm on mission 23 and haven't had time to play, but now I don't even want to reading all this. It's sad that something I've waited for for so long turned out to be disappointing. Ugh I don't wanna believe it. A story worse than PW? Nooooooooooo

Edit: What I still don't get is how the majority of reviews (even new ones) are still amazing if the game sucks so much. How can there be so many 10s if the story is as bad as fans are saying?

just play through it and judge for yourself. metal gear stories have always been divisive. maybe you'll like V's!

I think the reviewers are giving it perfect scores based on the gameplay primarily... and it really is damn near perfect.

Yeah, but I don't see a single person here saying they like the story so idk...
Also I know games are mostly about gameplay but reviews have always factored in story, especially these days, ESPECIALLY for Metal Gear, so not seeing people take off points for a bad story is weird.
But yeah in the end I'll have to see for myself. I'm always up for some Kojima madness.
Maybe one day, in 10 years, there'll be youtube videos about MGSV being a storytelling masterpiece and it's hidden message in its marketing and release like MGS2. heh
Also I really hope MGO is good because the gameplay is too good to not be fully realized with some PvP

There's a hut in front of the outpost with some grenades inside, I lured the guard nearby, fultoned him and picked up the grenades

Then I sneaked into the outpost and there's a ruined house in the middle with one of those blue communications center or whatever it's called; if you destroy it that's enough, you don't even need to destroy the satellite dishes. Then I got lucky and a sandstorm came in so I took advantage of it to get the hell out of there, I was caught but was able to lose them

Just S-ranked the subsistence version of the C2W mission at the first try, feels good :D

Somehow managed to S rank it too. Took out most of the outpost with CQC without being caught and knocked out the last 2 guys who managed to spot me. After that I accidentally discovered the transmitter and destroyed it which was enough to complete the mission. I didn't think that was enough to get an S but somehow it was.

I wish I knew I could complete that objective that way before I knocked out and fultoned every single guard...

Occasionally lurk the thread, but I like it. Felt more like an extension to PW while setting up MGS1 in some ways. Stand alone I enjoyed the hell out of the cutscenes and tapes, but if this is really it, then its a shame because I want much more of this kind of MGS.

also super late but rankings

V>3>1>4>2>>>>>>>>PW

I believe if you use the radio button Miller tells you that you can either destroy the satellite dishes or just the transmitter, that's how I knew about it... otherwise I would have done the same thing as you lol

After a while my brain just automatically ignored anything that Kaz said. BOSS GET DOWN! The enemy sniper....

If you haven't finished it yourself yet you really shouldn't mind the opinions of others here.
There is a lot of hyperbole going around. The game is great, the story not so much. Make up your own mind.

how do you not get hayter to read those lines as original BB during the redo of the intro

Uhm
because he also didn't do BB during Ground Zeroes? Why would you bring him back when that would create yet another inconsistency?

Because.
Kojima is a Hollywood otaku, and that's the only reason he cast Kiefer.

I aint even care

chop it up to whatever brainwash business was
making stuff during the ending different than the intro anyway

at least I would have gotten something out of it

I am sure there is an even more effective cheese method.

If you can approach the base from the left hand side you can actually find a spot where you can shoot the main radio setup in the building through a window afar.

I did the same thing... grab the assault rifle from the outpost go up the high part above the compound... scout each fish location and take them out with the rifle.... exit using same ingress method

I tried one time to stealth into the base to locate c4 but that didn't work out so hot

I just now realized I never got my Day 1 edition codes with my CE...ugh.

Where did you get it from?

I got my CE from Amazon... they sent the codes a couple of days after. Tora even confirmed this to me, and said to reach him if i didn't get them.

Codes don't come in the box. They are just codes they email you.

From what i am trying to decipher from your sentence. You did get an email with the code? its just one code for EVERYTHING.

Oh, OK. I was under the impression that there was a separate MGO code I was missing. Guess not. As long as I have that, I'm good. :)

Thanks, brau.

you should have a list of items already downloaded if you input your code. i am pretty sure everything was there last time i checked and compared the list from my CE rewards.

I came from the area above and behind where you pick up the diamond, snuck into the building with the radio transmitter to get the grenades, snuck back out, then tossed a grenade through the little window to blow it up, then crawled to safety. It was badass and felt really good. I was trying the method where you fire the mini gun from the chopper but it kept getting blown up before I could departed.

GamesRadar just posted their review. Interesting considering it's been 2 weeks and they still gave it a perfect score.

Some interesting thoughts in there. Still haven't beat it yet, so I can't say if I agree or not.
