Has anyone else here ordered the Premium version (with 1/1 scale arm) for import through White Rabbit Japan? Or ordered anything through White Rabbit Japan?
I ordered back when the link went up and got my confirmation way back but haven't heard anything since. Do they notify me when they get the item and then I pay for shipping of the item?

On Side Missions: You can finish most of the main game without touching a side mission, but not sure why anyone would want to avoid them. Some of the best moments in the game come from challenging and rewarding side ops.
On Cutscenes: There are plenty of dramatic and amazing cutscenes throughout the game. The open world design has created new ways to tell stories in the game, including breathtaking moments that are interwoven within the gameplay itself.
On Reduction of controversial themes: The Phantom Pain plans to tell a mature story that will reportedly tackle many taboos such as child soldiers and what not. Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to The Phantom Pain touched on these serious matters resulting into a bit of controversy. We asked Robert whether these dark themes have been toned down in The Phantom Pain. Judging by Robert's response, it seems that Hideo Kojima has remained true to his vision, unshaken by the Ground Zeroes' controversy.
"The story resembles the tone and intrigue that was present in Ground Zeroes. Remember, this is a story of revenge, where Snake, Kaz and their new crew of Diamond Dog mercenaries are eager to take back what they lost at the end of the events on Camp Omega. Characters like Skullface and Quiet likewise add new elements in the story that detail the Metal Gear universe in new and unexpected ways," Robert added.

Played a little of MGS1 last night and made it to Revolver Ocelot - looking forward to that fight after work tonight.
That game alone brought me back from a 3 year hiatus to love games again. I will never forget finishing it.

Snake and Otacon turn themselves in on the crimes levelled against them in MGS2 and are publicly executed as terrorists. Apparently Kojima had been building to that for a long time but his staff basically mutinied and told him they loathed the ending. Honestly, that would have been very fitting for a Kojima tone.

I'm still curious about this super cool feature that's only available through video games by importing a GZ save. Since none of the reviews used an imported GZ save, there's no information about what sort of stuff happens or how many missions take place on Camp Omega (If that's even still a thing.)

The Kojima Productions logo is still in too, and it pops up after every story mission, Kojima's name is in this a lot. It seems the only thing that Konami have interfered with is the box.

I think the way you approach all MGS games is important. If I want MGS4 to be hyper self serious then I'm not really going to get that throughout. If I go "This is even a parody of itself..." then it makes me go HOLY SHIT NAILED IT
and I like the way you phrased it and that will stick with me and make me love parts of the series even more.
Which makes the whole thing about removing his name from the box even more stupid.
