I was thinking of just starting the download from bed, then setting my alarm a few hours early before work.

It's a good game, but I still think MGS3 is the top of the series.

A good 9/10. The core gameplay is similar to a Far Cry game with Splinter Cell - ish stealth. It's a well designed game, but I've played better.

Been playing since Friday and I'm loving it. There's something extremely 'Kojima' about infiltrating an enemy base under the cover of a Sandstorm while playing 'She Blinded Me with Science' on loop on your in game cassette player.

MGS3 is such a safe game story wise, and gameplay felt slower than all the other numbered mgs games. I won't call MGS3 the best just because of GAF.

MGS2 > MGS > MGS4 > MGS3

Looking forward to MGSV beating them all

Just uploaded my GZ save from the menu. I'm only 87% complete, but I rescued every POW and important soldier (Eye, Finger, etc) and have all costumes. Hopefully that's everything for TPP.

Are you in New Zealand? Is that what the countdown timer says for you? Because official word from Konami is the unlock time for everyone is 12am EST which is around 7pm NZ time on the 1st.

I think that what helps it being such an easy game for newcomers to dive into.
